70 confirmations but i have not received the bitcoin...

confused why i sent bitcoins to my wallet and its been 8 hours and 70 confirmations.... nothing yet...

will i ever receive the bitcoins or is it possible the bitcoin will never go through

I am using electrum. What do you mean by Synchronized? Also yea it is up to date. version 3.0.2

I used the same bitcoin wallet address that i used 2 days ago because i have the app still running on my pci  never closed it. so i dont think this is the problem but i thought i would mention this.

i just closed electrum and launched it again and then the coins appeared. i didnt know i have to restart electrum wallet after every transaction. but this is good to know! thank you!

You were probably disconnected from the network, hence why nothing was updated. As far as i know there's absolutely no need to reboot electrum every time you get a transaction.

The node you were using might went down, and you forgot to reconnect to another one?

OK, glad to hear.

Just for the record.
Synced wallet has a green circle at bottom right corner ( if it's red then the wallet is not synced ... thus showing you not relevant data).
And it's not necessary to restart after each transaction ... something went wrong ... but coins arrived so no big issue.

no it was green. But i was in airplane mode yesterday by mistake(a key on my keyboard switches to airplane mode) so maybe that effected it. but it was green when i looked at it.

You don't. Electrum automatically downloads the necessary blockchain data on your wallet everytime you leave it open or you're connected to a network. It consumes a little bandwidth to fetch all those data for your balance and transactions to appear.

That explains it. The connectivity indicator would turn green if you are connected to the internet and leave your Electrum wallet open, but that doesn't mean it's synchronized at all times.

to fast transaction it is better to increase fee
but do not to worry your bitcoin is safe and you can received it soon. can you post transaction hash to check it?

Maybe tgere are a lot of transactions and because of that it takes some time for them to reach you.

I'm happy to hear that reloading the app is what solved the issue for you. These confirmations can take up a long while indeed.
