Hello
Transferred some coins, & now have popup with window title "Transaction"

Transaction ID is "Unknown" it does show my inputs and outputs, but there is a [Sign] or [Close] button

What does that mean? Am I required to sign to collect my change?

Thank you

To get a transaction ID you have to sign the transaction. You can still get inputs and outputs without the private key so the private key is needed to sign/authenticate it.

You will then have to broadcast your transaction also, otherwise it'll just not go anywhere and will not be handed to the network.

Hello

Thank you for your reply

Do I need to sign it? Will I loose money otherwise? The transfer appears to have completed....
It asks me for my Electrum password when I click [Sign]

You've mixed something up here. Has it adhed for your password twice?
Did you already send the transaction and then click preview?
If you want to see a transaction it'll be in the main history/transactions tab. What I suspect you've done is click preview after clicking "send" so the transaction should and will be rejected.

Hiya, thank you for our reply.

I think I did only click [sign] once, and then [broadcast].

I wonder what would happen if I did not [sign] the tx?

Nothing no money would be sent unless a different method to send it was used.
Such as clicking "send" button directly from the send screen, other that that. Nothing would happen without a transaction being signed and broadcast.

Ok, interesting. I had already got the balance with recipient, and it had been spent by me there. Was odd, as the "sign" popup, I only noticed later...
