Hello

I want to know how to sweep bitcoin cash, bitcoin and bitcoin gold to an online wallet and from there send them to an exchange.

Is blockchain.info a good wallet for doing this?

Or what wallet is recommended for doing this?

I want to sweep all three bitcoin-varieties to the same online wallet and then send them to an exchange.

I've recently started using it, and so far, I'm happy with it. You can use in-app Shapeshift to convert it (which I haven't tried yet).
Note: sweep your Bitcoin (the most valuable one!) first. Once confirmed, do Bitcoin Cash, then Bitcoin Gold. After this, you can add BitCore to your list.

What do you mean?

I don't want to use Shapeshift. Changelly and Shapeshift takes gigantic fees in my mind.

Why do I have to use Shapeshift when I sweep? I mean, I am just going to sweep private keys into an online wallet. Why would I need Shapeshift for that? I am not going to convert anything, just sweep it. So what do you mean?

I am going to sweep it and then send the three varieties of bitcoin to an exchange. Where do Shapeshift enter the picture?

You don't have to do it, but you can if you want to.

Quote

I would never sweep my private keys in an online wallet, but that's up to you.

Quote

You can do this in Coinomi (but it's not an online wallet).

Quote
I am going to sweep it and then send the three varieties of bitcoin to an exchange. Where do Shapeshift enter the picture?
It's optional.

Ok

Is it safe to sweep all three Bitcoins into Coinomi, using my private key?

I thought Coinomi was an online wallet. Is Coinomi the cheapest one regarding fees?

I've also heard about Mycelium. Do you know which one of all the wallets that has the lowest fee for doing this?

And is it possible to do while I am offline?

Is it safe to sweep all three Bitcoins into Coinomi, using my private key?
That depends... Is your phone clean? Do you take safety precautions like a good password, a safe backup, and making sure nobody can see your private keys and seed while doing so?
It also depends on how much value you're storing on your phone. A year ago, I'd totally trust my phone with 0.1BTC, as it was worth less than $100. Now that's $1500, which is much more than I trust my phone with (and much more than I need for daily use).
Basically, I only trust my phone with amounts I'm willing to lose.

Quote
I thought Coinomi was an online wallet. Is Coinomi the cheapest one regarding fees?
Fees depend on how much competing transactions are willing to pay for a confirmation. But Coinomi allows you to set your own fee.

Quote
I've also heard about Mycelium. Do you know which one of all the wallets that has the lowest fee for doing this?
Mycelium also allows you to set your own fee. In both wallets you can set it low enough to never confirm, so it's entirely up to you how much to pay.

Quote
And is it possible to do while I am offline?
No.

Ok, is that possible in Electrum as well?

I am not sure if Coinomi supports mac. So I am thinking Electrum or Mycelium. I was thinking I am going to do it on my computer. Do you recommend doing it on a smartphone? And if so, why?

And which one would you choose of all the alternative wallets for a mac-user?

I've heard some of them does not support Bitcoin cash. Which ones do support it?

Also, how do you mean that I can set the fee myself? Like with a limit order or something? Do I just write down "zero fees" or something?

Thanks for the help

Recommended wallets:
Electrum for BTC
ElectronCash for BCH
Huh for BTG (I use BitcoinGold Core... but thats a 150Gig blockchain download Tongue)

As for fees, when you send transactions, "good" wallets will give you the option to specify what fee (or fee rate) you would like to use. "Good" users will then check https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ and https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx to get an idea of how busy the network is and what sort of fees are required to get their transaction confirmed in a reasonable amount of time Wink

I don't understand. Can I pick "zero fees" then? And they will give me zero fees then? How can I pick my own feees? This does not make sense to me.

Also, to pick Electrum for bitcoin, Electron cash for bitcoin cash and another one for Bitcoin gold seems a to be a lot of work.

Isn't there just one wallet where I can sweep them all in?

I just want it to be simple. Simple and cheap. (Plus I have mac)

You didn't read what I wrote did you? Roll Eyes "Good" users will then check https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ and https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx to get an idea of how busy the network is and what sort of fees are required to get their transaction confirmed in a reasonable amount of time"

You're more than welcome to try zero fees... then watch your transaction get rejected for not meeting the minimum relay fee... and/or stuck for multiple days not confirming because you chose a fee that was too low. Roll Eyes

You could try Exodus (HUGE default fees which you can't change)... Jaxx (buggy as hell)... Coinomi (Possibly mobile only, don't think the desktop version is released yet)

Yeah this is a problem with the cryptospace.

I want more ease of use because I am technically compromised and I don't have time to learn all these wallets  Smiley.

What you are really saying is that I need to do this with different wallets for all three bitcoins?

The only one I have seen where you can sweep all three is Coinomi. Anyone that has an opinion on that one? Is it relatively cheap and safe?

It's as safe as your mobile device is I guess... just be careful, as I have seem some scammers promoting a "windows" version of Coinomi... which doesn't officially exist (Coinomi were working on a beta version for Windows, but it has not been released)...

Apparently, some users have had success with installing the BlueStacks Android Emulator and running Coinomi on that Tongue

Just use the default fee in Coinomi and you'll be fine.
Bitcoin Cash and Gold don't need high fees anyway.
