VTC Wallet not connected. Advice?

Hello,

I have some vertcoin in an electrum wallet which is currently stuck there as it wont connect for me to withdraw it. I have tried already:

Manually connecting to 6 different servers and waiting 5 mins each
Unchecking SSL to disable
Letting wallet select server automatically
Allowing it to connect to my pc/allow through firewall

This is the advice i have found from searching so far and still having no luck, anything else i should try?

I am now briefly connecting to vtc-cce-2.coinomi.net but only for a few seconds before it cuts out again... Keeps sporadically connecting and disconnecting for 5 mins each, at least it connects but is it a risk that if i leave my coins there at some point i may not be able to connect properly? Anyone had similar issues?
