Please tell me this is a joke.  This whole thing is just silly; why would you outlaw abortion, and tampons?  Seems like they just want to piss off half the state.

They're not trying to outlaw tampons.  The state guards banned them from being brought into the courthouse out of fear they would be thrown in protest.  That's certainly a crappy way for the state to act, but there is no tampon banning legislation.
