I am auctioning one of my Avalon batch #3 orders. This is a four module 85 GH/s with no power supply model. No power supply should mean there will be no customs issues being delivered to me, and you may select your own power supply or include a Cooler Master V1000 that I had set aside for this for an additional 2 BTC on top of your bid. People have had great success overclocking their Avalons, and I have not heard of any units having issues getting up to 350 MHz from a default clock of 282 MHz (meaning this unit could likely do 110 GH/s once overclocked).

It was an early order (#479x) with payment included in the third block after orders opened, meaning this should be near the top of the list for units to be shipped out beginning Monday July 15 according to the latest BitSyncom newsletter. Orders began in the 4500s and go up into the 9500s, which gives you an idea just how early this is.

This is a great deal compared to the new ASICMiner blades where a ship date hasn't even been announced yet. Their 10 GH/s models are at about 1.8 BTC/GH. Overclocked, the opening bid for this Avalon is just above 1 BTC/GH and I'm sure you'll get it sooner than a blade.

Rules:
  • This is a short auction (~25 hours from now), and will end at 1:00 PM UTC on July 14, 2013. Each new bid, however, will extend the time by 1 minute beyond this deadline.
  • Escrow is required, preferably via John K. No escrow will only be considered for local pickup (near San Luis Obispo/Santa Barbara County, California, PM for exact location) or other exceptions at my discretion.
  • Bids begin at 120 BTC. BIN is 170 BTC. Please bid in increments of 1 BTC.
  • Buyer is responsible for escrow fees and shipping in addition to bid amount. Shipping method is at buyer's choice. Insurance amount can be decided upon by buyer, but should the Avalon be damaged during shipping to buyer, the buyer will be responsible for the amount it is underinsured (though I suspect damage would be unlikely for domestic shipping due to the way the Avalons are packaged).
  • Upon receiving the Avalon, I will first inspect it for damage that it may have incurred being shipped to me. In the event it is damaged, I reserve the right to make the best judgement whether to have it returned to BitSyncom and have escrow refund you, or confer with the buyer. I will then pack it back up and ship it according to the shipping method the buyer has selected within one business day (DHL may deliver it to me late in the evening).
  • I reserve the right to sell to a private bidder if you wish to remain anonymous, however public bidding is encouraged.
  • Serious bids only please. Please be available soon after auction end to send to escrow.

Here is the transaction for the order, I have signed a message from 1NXk9vEKg8LkcHtHwuZTPhFbUDS6L5Gy29 to show that it is an address under my control. If you would like a screenshot of the order, please PM me.

Thanks and happy bidding!

Timer removed. End time: 2013-07-14+13:00:00UTC

Thanks, but reserve is 110 BTC. I may just end up getting a full refund instead. Wink

The vibe in the forum for avalon miners went from godly awesome to toxic last Wednesday, when one 4module in hand unit sold for 200.... After that... It a appears you can't give them away.

Most of us batch v3-ers are just getting refunds and investing elsewhere. Recommend that you do the same.

Yeah, I'm both surprised and not at the same time. It's still a much better deal than what you can get now, but I guess it's still not good enough for some. I think BitSyncom put us in a tough position, especially giving us a such short notice on getting refunds and not willing to do much else to fix their mistakes in terms of compensation. sigh

It doesn't look like I'll get any bids, but I'll let the auction run its course and then put in my refund request I suppose.

I would have considered these bids, if they started at 110. Tongue Sorry guys.

Since the clock is ticking (assuming China Standard Time) and it doesn't look like I'll get a reasonable bid, I'm just going to go for my full refund instead.

Went ahead and requested refund making this auction over. If for some terrible reason there is a failure on BitSyncom's part to process my refund and instead ship my order I'll see if the people who have made offers are still interested.

Thanks everyone, even if it wasn't as successful as I had hoped.
