Why? There is no CGB on it and a C alone refers to cent, which is worth very little. With respect to the one trying to create something, I know it's a lot of work but it looks bad. A good logo contains easy recognizable features or signs. The name Cryptogenic suggests the coin is something obscure, something that no one knows where it came from, a secret treasure. Bullion we know it's the big plates of gold and silver so much closer to the brandname.

The icy C makes me think someone had a dyslexic moment and wanted to make a "CryogenicBullion" logo...

Thanks for the constructive feedback, much appreciated. Your efforts are greatly appreciated and I like the look. However, we are looking for something a bit different than your typical "coin" logo. My intention was always to have something more along the lines of a hybrid of a block of ice and a block of bullion. Someone provided the following image which I believe to be a good template. Clean, elegant and oozes affluence. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Johnson_Matthey_500_grammes_silver_bullion.jpgI am geting the green light from the rest of the CGB team to have a logo design contest based off of these parameters. The payout of course would be in CGB. Would love to have you participate if this launches. Keep an eye out, hopefully I get approval to do this starting today. Finally, I hope everyone has updated their client before the 55k fork. If not, please do so immediately! I am in the EST and figure that as we cross over into Sunday, the fork should occur. Don't want anyone to lose the the correct block chain. This announcement has been stickied at the top of the page by salty as well. I usually overlook the sticky's so posting this here as well to make sure all see. BTW, it is FRIDAY!!!

Was just speaking to his general rudeness and lack of helpful criticism above anything else. I'll tinker a bit more, see what I can come up with. Sorry dude, I didn't mean to come across as rude or unhelpful, I was remembering a cgb debacle on cryptsy where a bunch of people couldn't get their conf files working and it turned out they had copy/pasted from a template someone had posted "cryogenicbullion.conf" .. I wasn't so sure that associating it with ice was helping the confusion ^^; Seems the devs dig the ice theme too so i guess i didn't do my research properly anyway and deserve to look like a jackass. Heh. Apologies again, looking forward to seeing your submission to the logo competition thread

I would have voted for CGB but since there is only 1 option, CAP for me. CGB has quite the number of votes.

I'm trying to download the blockchain, but it seems to be getting stuck at block 45407
getinfo output:
"version" : "v1.1.4.9-g0f2adcb-cgb", "protocolversion" : 60006, "walletversion" : 60000, "balance" : 0.00000000, "newmint" : 0.00000000, "stake" : 0.00000000, "blocks" : 45407, "moneysupply" : 454060.29526200, "connections" : 8,
When I exit cryptogenicbulliond and restart it to resume the download, I get the following error message:
"ryptogenicBullion: Error loading blkindex.dat" (The 'C' is omitted from the error).
I've deleted everything in .CryptogenicBullion except for my conf and wallet, but when I try to download the blockchain again it freezes around the same block.
Here's my conf:
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 rpcport=8395 daemon=1 server=1 gen=0 testnet=0 listen=1 addnode=46.150.89.173 addnode=70.98.114.229 addnode=76.102.71.50 addnode=143.238.65.108 addnode=76.10.153.119 addnode=97.89.174.206 addnode=69.85.86.195
Is anyone else having this problem too?

No, I don't have that problem. And I see you're using the updated client... First, here's my config file: rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 rpcport=8395 p2pport=7695 daemon=1 server=1 gen=0 testnet=0 listen=0 maxconnections=100 addnode=46.150.89.173 addnode=70.98.114.229 addnode=76.102.71.50 addnode=143.238.65.108 addnode=76.10.153.119 addnode=97.89.174.206 addnode=69.85.86.195 And you already tried deleting peers.dat and blkindex.dat, so I don't know... Let me know if my config file helped at all. Maybe I'll think of something else.

Looks like cgb.smalltimeminer.com is down. I have pm'd Bigal. I have been mining at cgb.epools.org and all has been fine, so until Bigal gets the pool back up, I'd suggest using one of the alternatives.
