I noticed Grand is up nearly 200% in 24 hours yet not a single word here?

What gives?  This is the 3rd alt in the last 3 days which is up big yet nobody even talks about it.

Are we finally turning the corner for alts or what's going on?

That's true but this is out of the norm if you look back over the last 2-3 months.

And it's not just GRAND.  I've seen it with at least 3 other alts over the past 2-3 days and all of them with no explanation.

So maybe someone is buying up a lot of these beat up alts?  Or maybe we are getting a turnaround.

Either way, anything upward is good cause it's been a freefall for at least 3 months now.  I'm down 90% and more on just about all my alts except for IXC.

edit: The issue is a lack of hashrate. Got this info from someone:
"I found it unconfirmed in the block checker, and investigating further it looks like the grandcoin hasnt seen any blocks for 2 days"

Currently I'm not up-to-date enough regarding this coin in order to provide you some. Isn't solo mining working? I expect that the difficulty of this coin isn't high at this moment, otherwise its value would have been a lot higher already. However, if the difficulty is still less, it might be real profitable in the long run to mine this coin now .

yeah, the increase in worth was me on cryptsy buying up the stagnate coins. i just decided to start looking for places to spend some and i cant seem t find anywhere that accepts it. come on dev, you cant expect a coin to last if nobody adopts it! look at bitstmark, they made a NEW coin and its got backing and hype. i holding some just because i dont wanna swamp the market. i may end up holding all this grand coin too as i have yet to find a place to put it.

Has anybody been able to get the wallet working for solo mining or is there a pool that's even running anymore?  GDC right now is prime for mining and I would love to help solve blocks for those transferring money but I can't if I can't get access to the network.

Thank you. I'm not currently looking for a Grand Coin pool, but it's great to see that there's still new effort spent into this coin.

Let's keep this coin alive. I think it's going to be tough, especially with the current BTC prices. But hey, the coin is worth it.

Grandcoin pays a grand, that's why it's called Grandcoin. Nothing will change and there's nothing wrong with it.

I agree. Why fix something that aint broke? THose scams shit out there that keep hardforking, changing the amounts, doing coin swaps, etc to try and manipulate the price are just bullshit.

Appearently the coin is still alive: On Cryptsy I do see some fluctuations and even a small pump I guess.

Unfortunately this didn't involve an huge amount of BTC. It should; that would definately bring the coin back to live as it will gain much more attention then. Like it had in the glory days (which made me earn some nice money - but lost even more).

However, we don't know whether this is also the fact for GrandCoin. It's good to see its value increasing again. However, current trading volumes are still low.
