What is the total coin supply for grand coin?
From the OP, when everything is mined there is supposed to be a total of 1,420,609,614 coins. Some of those are likely lost over the years. On the exchanges, what I can see on Cryptopia's book is about 62 million so far, so not much. |

What is the total coin supply for grand coin?
From the OP, when everything is mined there is supposed to be a total of 1,420,609,614 coins. Some of those are likely lost over the years. On the exchanges, what I can see on Cryptopia's book is about 62 million so far, so not much. If we do the maths and if I do them correctly, it's roughly 800M : 1/ Block 1 to block 700,000 = 1000 GDC per block = 700 million GDC 2/ Block 700,001 to current block 897,000 = 197,000 x 500 = roughly 100 million GDC But as said, who knows how many coins were lost forever on Cryptsy... I'd say a lot as it was the only exchange hosting GDC. |

Pretty decent trading volume over the last few days of approximately 11+ btc so far. Not bad for a blast from the past that has taken a long hiatus. We're also seeing more GDC coins entering the market and is now up to 77 million coins on the exchanges so far. It's still paltry, but it's a good indicator that people are making their way back into the GDC markets, especially for those that have held it over the years. We should be able to better gauge the number of active coins and breadth of the GDC market over time. As of now, it's looking pretty good. As of this morning, it seems that the GDC coin supply on the Cryptopia exchange is being gobbled up going from 99 million to 62 million. So far, there is over 9 btc of volume and still going. Update --------- As of this afternoon it's over 28 btc in volume. |
