What the fuck is wrong with cryptsy? I'm taking everything out the second I can get my GDC back.

It happens. Remember it's the coin dev's responsibility to make sure all is ok, not cryptsy, but they gotto be sure all is fine, they simply protect clients.

Cryptsy is solid. The one time I missed some coins they brought them back after an audit.

It is cryptsy's responsibility to refund me my coins that I cannot do anything with on that site, not the devs.

In the meantime, I have put up a dedicated server to mine this pool.  Are you sick of lag and pools that just don't work?  Then try this...

GDC.DEDICATEDPOOL.COM

Sign up, mine without interruptions or lag.

- dedicated server with gobs of cpu/memory and network bandwidth
- 60 confirms
- payouts work and everything tested hourly and works!
- backups every 30 minutes.  These pool operators losing databases is not acceptable.
- an admin who is a computer engineer and knows what the hell he's doing.

Like a turn in the wrong direction. What gdc pools exist use the same front end as this.  Can't do crap on a mobile device. Not even register. Is there a way to pass something to it so it will be in standard desktop view. Unlike most websites this has no option to switch to desktop view.

jr

JR - help me understand.  Why are you connecting from a mobile device?  I'd like to make it so everyone can connect and enjoy so if I can help in any way, explain what you're trying to accomplish so I can help.

Thanks!

While Cryptsy is investigating the issue with Grandcoin, I tried to help getting GDC on CoinMarketCap. It would be nice to have GDC back on Cryptsy AND appear on Coinmarketcap, could lead to a nice pump. As you may or may not know, Gliss (guy from coinmarketcap) stated that GDC can't have an accurate number of coins based on the blockcount visible on the block explorer, because of the randomness of the "super blocks". To see how much wrong the calculation could be, I made this spreadsheet :

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AoVGFXWafNoRdEh1YURvd0c0dm1SVGgteW5Nc1RyZVE&usp=drive_web#gid=0

We can see that if we take the average of coins generated by the super blocks, the worst case gives us 0.38% error. This error is the worst case, it means that the calculation would be 0.38% wrong if everyone who got those superblocks got only the minimum amount or the maximum but never an amount between min and max (which is clearly not possible), so the error has to be even less than that. I truly think that it's really not that bad, and so I posted it on the appropriated thread (coinmarketcap thread, page 28) and also messaged Gliss. I don't know if it will be added, but I think if we are enough to say that this error is ok to deal with, then GDC could pop on CoinMarketCap Smiley

Feel free to comment on my (basic and quickly done) calculations.

Best regards.

I hope they take responsability. I had 40,000 GDC on Cryptsy. Sad

This spreadsheet is only intended to show Gliss from Coinmarketcap that the random super blocks from GDC are not a problem to calculate the total coins. I don't think it's related with Cryptsy ...

All my miners are servers basically. Monitorless with logmein remote access. I manage all my accounts thru my ipad. I manage all my miners thru logmein thru my ipad. I never go to the physical computers mining and sit there with a keyboard and mouse. I have 5 mining rigs and manage them all remotely. When I start to setup a new coin I go to the website for the pool on my ipad and register an account and setup my workers. Can't do either of this in the mobile view. Easy enough would be to have the ability to switch the website to desktop view.

GOD DAMN IT CRYPTSY... First my DMD amount is missing,  then my SPT coins,  and now my GDC.  Why bother playing the market if the coins are just going to disappear without warning?

Take a deep breath...

Most people are running headless miners, I would imagine. Although odd the only device you have with a screen is an iPad, there is a simple workaround: install Chrome...and set the default view to "desktop" instead of mobile.

Beats complaining for days on a forum.

Guys sorry about the GDC suspension today. Essentially we had a couple reversals meaning a coin deposited from the chain suddenly vanished from the chain. Nothing to worry about it happens to many coins but the system immediately detects these things and suspends the markets so the security manager can review it. Took us a bit longer to put it back up today with the other problems we had with growth. So sorry for the delays and happy trading!

Guys, how many GDC's are you mining per day?
I used GDC.DEDICATEDPOOL.COM and I mined 2500 GDC in 8 hours at a speed of 3.3MB/s
Looking at stats I was supposed to mine at least 10-12.000 GDC/24 hours...

Don't know about his pool but can answer in general. This coins difficulty varies alot, and I mean alot. Which makes the "snapshot" wrong because the difficulty can suddenly go through the roof. I'm still hoping the coders will fix this issue and make the coin more average. So for now you can mostly ignore the dashboards/coinwarz/whatever and just check what you receive / day and go from there with your own calculations.

Sad to say, this is the reality with fast diff switching coins. If you check the block graphs page you get a feeling for how it is.

I'll include a block graph to show you guys: http://gdc.nordicminers.eu/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks and that for only the last 25 blocks.

I hear you.  I run GDC.DEDICATEDPOOL.COM

I've been able to get the blocks flowing quicker, but honestly, this coin is an odd one.  I'm been playing with stratum settings in hope we can see more constant results.  So far so good, go look at the blocks now.

I've definitely done something because for a bit there it was at 500%+ per block.  Just look at the graph, we're down to around 100-150% now, where we should be and that's acceptable.

Keep the commenting coming in, I'm trying the best I can to tweak this coin Smiley  Shit I'm mining it too lol

Thanks!

Early days but no such issues here. I put in my Cryptsy deposit address for GDC in this morning, and within 20 mins, the couple of hundred GDC I mined overnight, arrived perfectly. Same with CSC.DEDICATEDPOOL.COM last night.

What are you talking about.  It's paying out just fine.  Send me your transaction or wallet address so I can explore any issues you may have.

When you say 'no payouts' are you talking about that when you're actually trying to transfer coin to your wallet, or just that the coins aren't what is estimated?  If it is the latter, just look at the blocks section and you'll see there are 200-300% some blocks.  This coin is odd, the difficultly changes so much that the estimates are not correct.

Anyhow, let me know what you mean so I can help you.
