Was playing around with the collect free bitcoin sites for a week or so and managed to get .002 bitcoins.  Will probably lose them before I can figure out anything to do with them.  Anyone want them?

I'll take free ones anytime.  Are you giving up on bitcoins?

I got this error message when I tried to send them to the address in your sig:

"Your Bitcoins could not be sent because the amount can't be smaller than 0.01 BTC"

Not really giving up on Bitcoins just have found no real use for them in my life yet.  Been wasting a lot of time trying as well.  There fun to read about though!

You must be using Instawallet.  You're stuck with em till you get more.  Just don't lose your link and they'll still be there when you're ready to dig back into them.

I usually grab .01-.02 a day from freedigitalmoney.com  Just get in to where you can click on the radiumone tab and click on all the 8 Bitcoins (microbitcoins lol) or less.  Any others will leave you cleaning crapware off your computer the rest of the day.

That's one thing that is really starting to annoy me about Bitcoin.  Every time I try to do the simplest thing with the money (i.e. make an easy transfer) there is always some glitch or 10 extra steps/hoops to jump through.  For a restriction/issue free money there seems to be restrictions/problems around every corner.

Cash is king for now I guess.

Thanks for the tip about the free coin site.  Here were the 2 I was using:

http://freebtc.com/
http://www.cointube.tv/

If anyone finds anything useful to do with even .01 bitcoins just let me know.  I guess I will tinker with Bitcoins a little more if I can get my hands on some easy coins but man this currency is confusing and frustrating for a novice like myself.

Thanks for the offer of the Bitcoins.

I've found that http://dailybitcoins.org is by far the best site to get free Bitcoins from.  They just lowered their payout and I don't always get the amount of coins that my record keeping suggests I should (but since they are free I am not complaining) but you can easily get BTC.002 or more each day.  Just try not to think how silly you look smashing the reload button for what is essentially a penny. Wink  I've found it a lot of fun and kind of rewarding to see my balance slowly grow.

Most of the people I've encountered so far seem to think that of the online wallets https://blockchain.info/ has a really good one.

Finally the forums themselves are great.  There is a maintained list of free Bitcoin sites and many members of the community run contests or give-aways to help new people out.

Since you seem to find it interesting, I'd encourage you to stick with it.  Bitcoin seems to offer a lot of potential.

Good Luck!

I'm not ready to give out a daily payment for everyone hitting the reload button, but I'm happy to give out 0.006 and start people off with Bitcoin who can't get some.

Wow, talk about an eye opener. Looking at this old thread makes you realize just how worthless people thought btc initially was. I mean a btc faucet giving out .006 at a time lol? And someone that doesn't know what to do with .01 btc?

Boy have things changed.

Both of you, first need to learn to read first before making a post in this forum, this offer or gift was published several years ago, although that also has some fault who revived this thread before you.

It is getting rare to see these kind of topics. Nobody is handing out bitcoin anymore because it is up so much in value. You should hold onto it.

you should just try to reach the minimum and hold onto it. I will say that there are some sites out there that will take advantage of people and set a minimum which is quite high. By the time you hit the goal and try to withdraw you realize that it was all a scam and they don't pay out. So be weary about spending to much time and effort on a site until it is proven to payout.
