What's up with the btc price? Should we be worried?

The price has significantly dropped in last 24 hours. It was so high until yesterday. What's happening?

Few short term holders might sold their bitcoins at $15k because the value suddenly increased from $5k so that might be reason for increased no of sellers. As per my knowledge i don't think traders may sell in weekends. There are few predictions are negative here like dying etc..
Those will make new traders to sell theirs. But the fact is we should not worry abou this drop. It will bubble again

One of the reasons I'm sure among others are panic selling, but we must know the fluctuating of bitcoin price and still easy to be influenced by many things, didn't close the possibility it will moving back to the height again. I'm sure the current price drop happens, it's just temporary and would be moving back upwards, I'm sure it is!. So well I just suggest don't too worrying about that, it's good we take positively things and deal with the situations with calmly.

That fall in the prices does not look like an alarm,if the price fell again until the $8K then would be an alarm signal there is also the option that the price remains stable between $15K or around that would also be a good sign,and if,such as some people say,the market is cyclical,then there is no reason to really worry about that.

Agree, we shouldn't be alarmed by a small decrease in the price of bitcoin because this is just normal due to volatility. Other people are starting this thread about the decrease when it was not that big and compared to those previous dump, this is nothing. But if the price continue to decrease after few days then you may be worried, just don't overthink too much to avoid panic selling and hold because eventually the price will rise again.

Only newbie will worry when they see Bitcoin keep in going down, if the person follow Bitcoin movement for a long time then the person will know this drop down is because of the correction and this already happened so many times, in the end Bitcoin always recover and able to hit ATH

More people doing panic sell the price will fall down deeper, so no need to panic or worry

no,its totally cool ,bitcoin price always going up and down, market rate was high bitcoin were tend to sold ,this could be reason for the price drop ,anyways just checked few minutes back that price again tends to grow. Due to bitcoin volatile nature it will happen in future also so don't need to worry or panic about it.

Yes bitcoin price always going and up so actually it is normal trend in the market. Others coins is always volatile as to btc also. Price drops but it will tend to rise the usual happen in bitcoin market so Im not worried to sell btc.

This morning Bitcoin has serious recovery from yesterday loses and many people have been  buy low yesterday and this is pumping the price up. As at the time of making this post we have seeing a high significant progress and Bitcoin is currently  $16,300 and it may be heading toward  $20,000 before end of this week. I think with this current progress you should not be worry as there is nothing to be worried about. Bitcoin must make a correction and future trade has nothing to do with that as Bitcoin is becoming acceptable all over the world.

You are certainly correct that there is need to worry about the price loss that happen during the past few days, a lot of traders has been scared of the what has happen during the significant price drop and sold their coins but the true gainers are the one who bought the coins at a low price, bitcoin up to now continue to recover.

We did even saw the quick dumped of bitcoin because of the network attack last time when BCH is pumping. And it was even higher than the drop yesterday.

What's happening?

Since it is weekend, normally everyone is just taking profits so they are selling to make their weekend good to take time to relax and buy everything they want to. And this week is a healthy week again, the price is looking good already.

This is the best thing to do now of not in panic mode. Yes there are a lot of reasons why bitcoin price becomes cheap and I guess there is a second correction will be happen anytime. In this drama, it is to good to decide whether you will ride this chain or hold until the price of bitcoin will climb.

Looks like it's in an upward trend lately. I decided to pull the trigger and buy some more at ~14k just now so I make a little bit more profit on the way up. Not sure what the plan is for me in terms of holding it long term but I do think it will be up past 20k next month and the short term solution is just to HODL.
 
I have just around 1BTC at the moment which is pretty good. The price may hit levels way beyond that in the future, but I'll decide at a later time when it's right to sell. Definitely not right now though. The price is bouncing back.
