Hello folks,

I have some soon-to-be-obsolete A6 left in the farm. Their original fans died so I used Delta 6000 rpm fans as replacement. But then they started having too hot errors right on start up and would not hash at all.

I am thinking of removing / disabling one or two temp sensors to bypass its temp monitoring.

Does anyone know where the sensors are located? Or share how to deal with such issues if you have the experience?

Thank you.

Are you sure that the Delta fan doesn't have reversed PWM signal?

And therefore it would not spin 100% in the startup, but instead at very low speed.

I used to have this Sanyo San Ace fan as a replacement fan for the Avalon6 back in the days:
https://www.amazon.com/Sanyo-Denki-SAN-Ace-120mm/dp/B00QWB1X3O

It worked perfectly.

Also installing the latest firmware could bring some help.
When you look at the latest changes here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Avalon6
you can see this change "CGMiner:Add more options to optimize hashrate when toohot occus.".
