In the year 2017 more than 600 cryptocurrencies in the trading marketplace came into existence, 1000 plus ICO’s and token sales launched. But considering the market capitalization of the cryptocurrency here is the list of Top 10 Cryptocurrencies 2018 which are leading the market and gains investment opportunity for long-term as well as short-term profits.

50% my money, i invested to bitcoin because this is safest crypto, leader digital coin, i think will grow again n again. and then 50% again i will invested to altcoin like  : ETH, DASH, XRP, but we need research about prices and growth these coin to make sure for long term as well as short term

Top alternate currency with my oppinion

1. Waves
Waves have very big Update on network , they call Waves-NG , very stable than ETH and the next of eth because waves platform can make token easily and much faster

2. IOTA
IOTA is not used blockchain technology, but using tangle technology, this is fast, and no fee for transaction

3. XRB
New brand crypto, no fee, and instant TX, based from new code

4. Ethereum
everyone knows that this is one of the best, but have problem on chain if high transaction ( congestion )

5. Litecoin
Best crypto because this coin is first segwit implementation

Not a bad selection for investing at the moment. But the market is changing, new coins, bitcoin forks and the like. Therefore, the year 2018 may differ significantly from this year, and it is difficult to predict which coins will increase in price and which ones will reverse.

I think in 2018 will come forth altcoins. Since bitcoin is already known, and other coins will be known next year

I believe the top coins for next year are BTC, BCH, IOTA, NEO, WAVES, BTS, ETH, ETC, ZEC, SC, XRP. All coins who drop a lot will start to pump again starting March next year.

I believe we can see more BTC forks next year, so better go to a trading site that regularly accepts forked coins. For now I will hold my Bitcoins, I will not trade until all altcoins drops from the dip.

but I thought, 2018 is still dominated from the top 10 coins. like btc, eth, ripple, nem, etc . and maybe would there several coins will go up and enter the top 10.

You have tried to cover short description for top 10 crypto by marketcap according to coinmarketcap.com which can be appreciated.
This list might not remain same for next few weeks or days as many coins are losing marketcaps and their position on table, people are changing hands for profit and many low priced coins were pumped in last few weeks followed by a big dump.

Cryptocoins are still immature and market changes within few minutes because of small piece of news or hype.

Of the top coins, I only consider the ethereum for investment, and it is still possible for the EOS. Other tokens are not included in the first hundred, so I will not sound ..

The market is changing all the time. Every day there are new players who want to take a place higher. I think that in 2018 there will be many smart projects that will take good positions. Ethereum, of course, will not go anywhere. But I would bet on the "dark horse".

Nearly everybody listed the coins from top 50 according to the market cap.

The biggest RoI will come from a coin which is not in top 100! And that coin will take its place in top 100 or 50. If you(we) can find that coin, then we hit the target
