I was wondering that should I buy IOTA. As I have read about it. It's sound too good to be true.
I also like to keep my investments in Bitcoin to support it, but maybe buy some IOTA for its friend. Any suggestions?

The IOTA price has been fluctuating between $3.9 and $4.5 for some days now. It went past $5.5 level a few days ago but fell afterwards and hasn't been that high since. I'm waiting for the next price push, and with that hopefully we will see $7 levels. IOTA seems promising for me so far.

I would recommend, spread out your investment, Like ETH, ETC, LTC,XMR,XLM,XRP,NEM But try to enter at right price, but if you are investing keeping 2 year in mind, everything is cheap now.

IOTA is really something surprising in coinmarketcap, nobody expected this coin to be in the top 5, because this coin is not in bittrex (the most popular market), so I'm a bit hesitant to buy this coin

Diversification is good and healthy for your investment. Especially in the crypto market which is really dynamic and uncertain. So always keep a good proportion of your investment in bitcoin but try other coins as well. Because there are many coins which has a huge potential to go up in future. I have been watching IOTA since last couple of days and seen that it is fluctuating between $3.5 and $5. I won't recommend any single coin here, but try to buy different coins as well. I have started investing in ETH since last couple of months now and IOTA also looks like to a good investment asset with 4th largest market cap of 11 billion USD.

Yeah but everybody have been saying that iota will be the next ethereum, the next bitcoin, but the most important thing is:
do you really believe that?
Everybody is hyping iota, but it doesnt mean that it is going to be the next big crypto, maybe a lot of companies are now supporting iota, and that is why the price is very expensive right now.
"Internet of Things" What a shitty name they created.
I bought some iota, then i sold them all, i dont want to get my portfolio stuck with a pure speculation coin

Not sure about XRP. It's been diving for months. It doesn't look like a very popular coin at the moment. I'm interested in IOTA, but i'm not going to buy it at the expense of my Bitcoins. BTC is continuously rewarding every holder so it would be a shame to give up on it now.

I think XRP has probably the most potential to soar because it's supposedly " centralized" so the banks will be all over that one.
IOTA? I still can't figure out their wallet and the frustration just put me in the 'eh I'll get to that later". I wanted a bit of this for over a week and struggle with their wallet for that long so I gave up on the whole full node/light node nightmare. Also it dropped quite a bit but still holding strong I suppose.
Doge- I get this was a joke but sometimes it may just be great to be the last to laugh.....all the way to the bank. Go Shibes! Plus the buy up is so cheap right now so I figured I'd grab a few of these plus the community is awesome. When I saw it ticking up I was like wait Doge? Really? Time to grab up those old wallets and dust them off.
SALT- Salt is just sexy as hell. I love seeing their logo spin around on Shapeshift. Yes It's like OOOOOOhhh. Sorry my desire for this coin is purely on looks and name and it's flying up in the right direction. Pass the SALT! Yes I know I'm a shallow woman. Hahah:)
I think there are some others but they already flew up so fast that eh I'll have to sit back and watch.
Keep in mind I'm not actually recommending anything here but these are my thoughts. Iota if I can't get the wallet to work I'm not going to play around with exchange antics of "well we're blocking withdrawals or we're holding them or oops they disappeared". There are just too many things that could potentially go wrong and a working wallet is a necessity.
I'm actually bothered that so many of the new ICOs don't have wallets up and running so it's a bit nerve racking.

You should buy it, I also invest IOTA. Investment for the next 2-3 years will be very possible to be 10 — 100x, you better believe it. but you have to be patient because this is a long-term investment You'd better stop dawdling. Decisions in your hands, rich in the future or regretting the past. Don't blame me

IOTA,XRP are very promising coins. They had shown stability and maturity in past few weeks.I have closely observed all the alts in last two months. After ETH and XMR this two coins have shown same promise.I have invested in both of them but to nullify risk of investing in new coin i have invested small and equal amount in all four. This gives us a sense of option to just not relying on one coin for profits,You can cover your loss if happens through another coin.

IOTA it is the unique coin created for service of the Internet of things. Everyone understands that the Internet of things is developing, and the future of various devices is closely related to it.

When bitcoin stops rising, you can choose to sell some bitcoins and buy Altcoin, which will maximize the benefits.

I think you should do all. Keep BTC and buy other cryptocurrencies and investments with POTENTIAL. In order to know whether it has potential, try researching on what company and who are the people putting money to support this cryptocurrency. If these companies/people are well-known and established, then there's a great chance that that currency will rise.

Don't with iota there are many more better options that iota because there was no partnership with Microsoft rather it was just one of the many participants . As you mentioned in the topic xrp is also a good investment.
Regarding your second question yes it is good to split your investment with alt as well btc is really high currently if you have any it's good to hold but if you are planning to invest more go with any alt it will be more profitable.

Before investing, you need to read about what technology is the basis of the chosen cryptocurrency. After that, you must answer to yourself "Does this technology have the potential for development?" In the question of investment decisions must be made independently.

Bitcoin is stable investment while other alts can swing in crazy way on both sides so if you are willing to take high risk for high gain than yes you can invest in altcoins along with bitcoin but don't buy only few altcoins, buy 4-5 coins so that you can lower risk of losing all you will invest.

IOTA is heavily overbought, at any time the price may drop. Now the ICO project Hdac is underway, which is a direct competitor of the IOTA. And as I heard, the Korean company Hyundai is taking part in it.
