I am writing this topic to report a bug that cost a player his bet, and also report the complete unprofessional and unreasonable response from Stake Support.
RE: For those who aren't aware, Stake is has been under DDOS attack since this morning. The site has been experiencing severe lag and service issues. sometimes complete breif halt of service. Glitch/Bug:The player Anonnep made wagered on Stake Casino's game Chartbet with the cashout setting set to 3.00X. There is a visual bug on this game which most players and Stake Staff are aware of. Its usually caused by lag or bad internet connection but it basically glitches and the chartbet graph does not crash but continues climbing into infinity, visually atleast. When really it had already crashed. Anonnep preemptively took a Screenshot before checking the outcome of the bet in his history: When he looked into his history it showed the bet crashed at 9.85X (Bet ID Chartbet:141,207,873) when it should have cashed out at 3.00X. As a result he lost his wager of 0.00024816 btc due to either a bug or the DDOS attack. Yes this is a small amount to make so much noise over but what if it had been a bigger bet? The way support handled the report of this bug and the danger/risk of playing at stake should not be overlooked
Stake Support Response:Support accused Annonep of lieing and of having faked the Screenshot. All the help that was given were insulting assumptions and accusations. Must they wait till more suffer the same issue or until a greater amount of money is lost before taking it seriously? Its not our fault stake doesn't bother to get DDOS protection despite having these attacks many times in the past. Nor would it hurt to return the wager to anonnep, and request admin to close the chartbet game for the safety of the players until the DDOS is over or until further investigated.
I have known Anonnep for a long time, and have seen his character enough to know that he would never lie about something so small like 24k satoshi. It upsets me that out of all people he is treated like this. He gives way more than he receives to chats in different sites, not just stake. Those that know him i'm sure agree with me in this.
Conclusion:If you reading this and play at stake, be aware of the high risk that your taking by playing there. There could be many more bugs that could cost you your bitcoin. Do not put your security on the Support service of Stake, they may just call you a liar and push you aside or just straight up ignore you. Stake does not take the safety of your trusted bitcoin seriously. Id recommend instead to choose one of the many other sites out there that care enough to have DDOS protection. I have confirmed that the following sites have such protection: Betking, YoloDice, Bitvest, Crypto-games.net, and Duckdice.
*update: DDOS at stake has stopped for now.
**Another update, Support has returned to anonnep what he wagered. So atleast they kept their Integrity!
