As the anniversary of Pearl Harbor passes its 76th year, we proudly present The Patriot Coin, created to benefit veterans.
The Patriot Coin is the first of its kind Cryptocurrency to directly impact the US military veterans, a non-profit organization that is responsible for the creation, management and distribution of The Patriot Coin.
The Patriot Coin can be purchased by donors using bitcoin or Ethereum, The Patriot Coin can be held in in any Ethereum capable digital wallet.
Once the donor buys The Patriot Coin they gain access to the heroes repository, a purpose built database that allows the donor to choose where their donation are to be sent.
Initially these will include; Rehabilitation programs, education and training, specific state/city/town charities, legal aid, hospital/medical, commemorative.
Our crowdsale goes live January 14th 2018 We will launch our invite only access on the December 21st 2017, then on January 7th 2018 our pre-sale, which will run for 1 week until the January 14th 2018, when our Coin crowdsale launches. The fundamental philosophy of The Patriot Coin is it's balanced/correct use of blockchain. The Patriot Coin only uses the blockchain for baseline data, that way, it eliminates the opportunities for fraud and lack of transparency when it comes to the critical events; this, in its turn, reduces risk for donors. Day 2 and we have really seen some amazing support for The Patriot Coin. Thank you all so much for your help!  An early bit of news, we have had some great conversations with a number of large charities the last few days and look forward to confirm a number of charities taking on our wallets very soon. Just so you are aware of some key stats that drive us to do the right thing for veterans, in 2014, Less than half of the country's 21.2 million veterans were employed — 573,000 were looking for work, while 10.5 million were neither employed nor seeking employment, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Veterans are twice as likely as the average American to be chronically homeless. In fact, more than a third of homeless individuals across the country are veterans — between 529,000 and 840,000, depending on the time of year, according to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans. At this point, the number of homeless Vietnam veterans, male and female, is greater than the number of soldiers who died during the war. It's even worse for female veterans, for whom the risk of becoming homeless is four times greater than for male veterans.
