I'd choose some Asian sleeping giants like NEO, XEM, OMG and also because of huge partnerships I'd choose IOTA. And because of banks I would store some money in XRP and XLM.

Hey! My favorits for next year are Stratis, Waves,Neo, Ethereum Classic, Ripple! All of these coins are underrated and after market stabilization im waiting big takeoffs, particularely from Stratis and Waves. Both project have lots events in nearest future and i see big potential for growth.

No idea what Req is. Would definitely dump NEO for Waves though. Better and faster platform, own DEX, and smart contracts coming in early 2018. Will definitely go above $100 in 2018, possibly get close to parity with Ethereum.

Doesn't NEO have the same potential as WAVES does, if not more? I feel like waves has already a ton and doesn't have enough room to grow like NEO. What are your top 5 for 2018 because it seems like you know what you're talking about lol.

As for OP's question, I'm in IOTA, ETH, LTC, QSP. I'm dumping all of my BTC for altcoins.

I just want to invest on the top 5 altcoin in the coinmarket cap even they have much expensive value but this is worth it to hold for long period of time but my main altcoin is Ethereum, Monero, Ripple, LTC and DASH.
But it is depend in the users but my recommendation be wise and invest in safe altcoin because this is holding for long period of time its hard to risk huge capital for those coin that we do not know what will happen in the future.

top 5 alt coin in CMC is not a good basis.

bcc is new. iota doesnt even have a working product yet

market cap changes quickly. even bitcoin gold is ranked higher than xem and xmr.
we all know XMR and XEM have been around for a long time and have solid developers
