I think there's no cancell fee at cryptopia i am not sure because i never try cancelling any transactions at cryptopia
But if its true then it means that you are paying your transactions before it successfully made so its better to think carefully before making any transactions to avoid extra charges fees.

Last time I put and cancel an order (like 2 weeks ago), there's no fee deducted in my balance. As of now, I'm not sure since there were few changes in the site, like the withdrawal fee and minimum trade amount. Try to ask the support about it or maybe post in their forum about it to know if there are users who experience the same https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum

your order was probably partially filled that is why you got smaller amount of bitcoin back after cancelling it. go check your balance and also history and you will see these amounts check out.

ps. partially filled means for example you wanted to buy 40,000 satoshi of some altcoin so you placed an order of that size. then someone sold less than that amount to you. for example someone sold you 10,000 satoshi worth of that altcoin and then you canceled your order so you received 30,000 satoshi and you already have that altcoin too.

Buying the dip...

Cryptopia doesn't take a fee, when order is completely canceled. But it could be, that a little part of your order was fullfilled, before you canceled your order. Sometimes fees change, so that maybe a little fee amount was calculatet back from previous order. I had that only as a bonus, not as minus.
