BCD seems to be touting itself as a privacy-centric crypto.
What's you guys opinion of the coin and future prospects?

anything that is build on top of bitcoin with more than 170 GB of blockchain and tries to build even more with faster blocks and stuff like that, is doomed to fail.
and when we are talking about these coins working against big really anonymous coins with focus on privacy such as Monero, they have nothing to say really. it is not a competition they are going to win or even last long in.

You have a point with the 170GB worth of data, though. But I do believe technology is where it is now based on people building on existing stuffs. Don't know if BCD will successfully build on the network. However, their stealth-like design really reminds me of QTUM, which I outrightly dismissed as a scam. Now, look where that one is
