It seems to me that the only and most important factor in increasing the price on the market for each crypto currency is yo-yo demand. If the coin is popular there and is in demand, then its price will always be large.

And all the other altcoins are their kids! Building up a digital currency monarchy. If your basis for this "royal status" is the chart above, probably yes. But when it comes to profitability, those little "prince and princesses" (altcoins) provides more opportunity. Surely Bitcoin and ETH will still have their runs. But those who will mostly profit from this are the high traders or players since they have the funds for it. Small traders would be more convenient trading or investing in altcoins due to their low marketcap which means there is a lot of room for growth in terms of value and price.

Until now this statement is still true, but in near future we will see other king, or queen. Time will change.Proof of Work is no more prefered because it costs a lot of power to operate. Proof of Stake will be the new king.

A lot of new cryptos are emerging now and many of them are technologically much more advanced than either BTC or ETH. So there is a chance that these two coins will not remain as the top cryptos in the future.

Actually, the competition in the market today is very tight and there are a lot of icos who wants to reach the top just like bitcoins so i believe that there will be always a replacement for bitcoins or ethereum in the future.
