I was wondering if there's any way I can estimate a value that a coin can achieve based on their supply and market cap. Is this a thing or the price can be anything depending on the speculation?

Sorry if this is a noob question.

Well there's nothing conclusive but you can compare it to something else. Lets say Pivx and Dash, Dash has a current marketcap of ~5.6bln and Pivx ~250mln

5.6bln/250mln= x22,4  (current price $4,55)

So Pivx could potentially go x22,4 from where its at now, though this is a bit of a longshot.

You could also then say okay Pivx can go to 5.6bln what would be the price? ~5.6bln/~55mln = ~$101,- each. (Marketcap/supply)

Does this help or?
