King of what? Overpriced video cards?
Lol It gives the highest hashrate of the cards available today. In that sence its king. I think the new VOLTA card from Nvidia will overtake this position. We'll have to wait and see! Pascal is now 1.5 years old, should come something new soon.

you need to account for slot costs, total up the entire cost to get each pcie slot and the 1080ti return gets better. people running 1060's have a lot of extra money sunk in an abundance of slots to equal similar hash rates. not to mention space requirements.
and until nvidia announces there next retail product... then actually has enough supply out to buy one or 20.... then drivers... could be a while for 1080ti.

I got my 1080 ti rigs roi in less then 6 months, however, not mining ZEC

The performance difference per $ for the 1080 Ti on other algorithms is relatively the same or even worse, except for AMD cards. I'm not mining ZEC with RX 570's either.

you don't buy a 1080ti to mine zec. Its king of the shitcoin for a reason and the roi is half that if you know what you're doing.

The 1080 Ti is a good card for noobs that think they can make up for their lack of experience with their wallet LOL.

But those of us who purcharsed their cards before september are looooong way after ROI already. You could make more than 10$ per card daily if You keep switching those shitcoins. So nope. Those buying 1070 'think they can make up for their lack of experience with their wallet LOL'. We have Titan V on it's way with Volta chip, still 3k$ - Will it worth?

VEGA 56 is not profitable. Mining Ethereum VEGA shows very modest results. Price it twice what the RX 580 but the profitability of these cards 30 Mh/s and the profitability of VEGA 56 approximately 43 Mh/s. What is the benefit? Power consumption of VEGA 56 is also very high. I heard that they are beneficial to use in the extraction of zec but I can't say for sure.

It also has the longest ROI of any new card:
1080Ti on ZEC - 195 days --- 1060 3GB on ZEC - 165 days
Price from the site nvidia: 1080 Ti - $699 : 195 days = 3.58 1060 - $299 : 165 days = 1.81 1080 Ti need only 1 extra month after payback that to circumvent younger model in the effectiveness. Already at 255 days, she can earn for you 2 times more money (unless of course it all not fall apart). Moreover, who then will need trash (1050/1060 and partly 1070), with the advent of Nvidia Ampere?

It was already de-throned by the Titan Volta - and arguably by the Volta V100 - but when you factor in the COST it's still safe for another month or three, when the lower-end Volta based cards should start arriving. Other than "rig density" though, it never WAS the king of efficiency - but it's pretty close on the algorithms it DOES work well on when you factor in overall SYSTEM hash/watt. Vega 56 is VERY profitable - on Monero - if you can GET the bloody things at all and don't pay double MSRP for them. It is beat out on pretty much everything else by SOMETHING though, even AT MSRP pricing.
