(firstly, sorry if this is i the wrong thread, it wouldn't let me post anywhere else for some reason).
Hi all, So I'm aware I'm a little late to the party on this but thought I'd have a crack at this bitcoin mining.
I keep reading that it's just no longer possible on a desktop PC, however unfortunately this is all I have access to.
Electricity isn't an issue and neither is getting my hands on hardware, so my question is, even with a top notch GPU e.g. Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 and leaving it to run 24/7 am I still looking at making any profit at all?
If need be I can have 2/3 desktops running, all with decent GPU's and running nothing but bitminter.
Please feel free to throw any advice my way, bearing in mind I'm quite technically minded but a newbie to the bitmining community.
Thanks. Jay
