This is a very good idea, to join in an ico because with a span of time you can get what effort you put in. You just have to follow the rules and make sure that you are willing to dedicate your time and effort for everything so that you will be rewarded

Yes I ever invested in ICO, the first thing I will say that you are going to learn a lot of things, setting a new wallet, generating the ICO coin, really a great experience, and legit ICO got a very solid team that will help you if you get difficulty in buying, and when you want to invest in ICO you will need to read whitepaper and a lot of research, but you can see nowadays ICO got a very interesting project and vision

I have invested into a few ICOs and I generally look at the WP, Roadmap, social media presence, team and telegram.
I like to see a active Dev team either on Telegram or their bitcointalk ANN forum answering questions clearly and without side tracking them.

When investing in a ICO a also don't expect to see huge profits for at least a year or when there roadmap/project is completed.

I feel if you cover most of this you reduce your chances of picking a scam ICO. Also don't invest in a ICO any money that you can't afford to lose.

It depends on token distribution from dev after an ico finish, usually, now people can trade ico token at etherdelta. you can figure out how you can make a profit from ED, some token like drgn get like 10x from ico even not hit a bigger exchange, only on ED.

Previously, I just invested on one ICO's. Turns out to be a so-so performance and it wasn't what I was expecting. I really thought that it has a good future and the price could go up. Try to hold on the tokens however, after 3 months, I decided to sell everything so its only break even for me.

Really hard to invest on ICO now because of scams. If they are not a scam, I think it will only yields a decent returns, well as the case on my end. I have invested on a second ICO though, will see how it pans out. If it gives me good yields then I will continue, but if I got another break even or a lose, then I will stop for the time being.

You better read the white paper of the ico and find the team of member and past activities.. If all of them are good, you have better chance of earning a profit of 300% within a month.. Just find the facts of ico well before investing.. Thats all what you cost..

Invest in ICO is possible only when you have extra money (as they call it - easy money). If you have limited capital, you should not take risks.

It is highly depend on each individual ICO projects.
They need to have great experienced and development team, great marketing team, good business advisors, and etc.
You need some time and efforts to check them out, the best thing to do is to join their community and goes from there.

I checking out two of them now.
1. Novablitz.com
Telegram group: https://t.me/novablitz
Announcement channel: https://t.me/novablitzofficial

This is a huge potential platform for esports and card gaming industry.
They have highly experienced development team and also they are being advised by some of the pioneers in the industry like Richard Garfield, creator of Magic: The Gathering, and Skaff Elias, creator of the Magic Pro Tour.

2. Graft.Network

You have to research and choose the right one based on the project, whitepaper, team...ect.

I love CyberTrust project, becasue of its unique concept: https://www.cybertrust.io

Must be selective to choose a potential ICO, we do not know whether ICO will succeed or fail. Usually we see / check the white paper to know the good project and who the team who joined the project.
it's usually a good move to choose ICO.

You can find information about upcoming ICOs in the following websites:

https://www.icoalert.com

http://www.icohunt.co

https://icostats.com

Pay attention, some ICO are scam, you can't cash out.
Understanding altcoin pricing will put the investor in a position of not only knowing when it is best to invest in ICOs, but also knowing how to maximize returns.

Do you often buy into ICO's? If yes, what is your experiences, is it easy, how fast can you cash out etc?

Investing in ICOs at this point is in no way ideal as the current market is flourishing with various projects and everyone wants to make big profit in a short period of time. The biggest problem with ICOs is that the tokens will certainly not be worth the same as it was during the offering and will always be suppressed by Bitcoin and better altcoins.

I want to help developing gaming projects, I think gaming is a future of entertainment.

What gaming ICO do you know?

Check out Bountie, a gaming platform based around the Asiatic region. Looks promising, at least in my eyes.

When you invest in an ICO project, you need to wait until the token listed on any exchange if you want to cash out Smiley) This process often take about 2 weeks - 1 month after the ICO ended. But with some ICO it only took about 1 week after the ICO ended. For now there are a lot of ICO projects but so many scam projects so you need to be careful if you wanna invest in ICO
