Is there anyone willing to spend a half hour chatting with me to point me the right direct? I would like to start mining litecoin, just to get my feet wet for now. I really don't even know where to begin, except I have a windows 10 machine.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Not sure litecoin is the way to go if you're mining with GPUs. Probably should start with something like ethereum.

There is a good guide on reddit ethermining subreddit on how to start purchasing parts and setting it all up. Suggest having a read through there.
