Also is buying on amazon.com vs on the regular site a big deal or not?  Because i read it cannot be tampered with because as long as you reset it, its fine?

Just use an online currency converter from Euros to any local currency or USD.

Yes, Amazon will be alright, you can see here all the authorized distributors/resellers of ledger HW together the site, place, contact details etc. including Amazon https://www.ledgerwallet.com/retailers

But before you order, just consider that it will takes time before it will be delivered to your place due to many buyers and pending orders, it takes a month or so. With my experience, I received it more than a month.

The only ebay retailer I see from their list of authorized retailers is only one and it seems like he's not active anymore? as there's no products that are in sell.

I'm located in Europe, I bought wallet from official website and wallet was shipped from France. I got my wallet after 1.5 week, I think it's fast enough. But if you live outside Europe, shipping can be more expensive andit will took more time to get your wallet.
