ADA has six digits for the decimals, not eight like Bitcoin and pretty much most of the cryptocurrencies out there. If you adjust that to compare, we have a 250 million circulating supply, and ajusting for price that means ADA is trading for around $12 right now. So $1 for ADA would be equivalent to triple digits for an eight digits coin, in other words, $100.

This also means that when the max cap is reached, after Shelley and POS is unlocked, ADA will have the eight digits equivalent of 450 millions coins. That's still less than competitors like EOS (1 billion) and Tezos (around 700 million), also remembering that those two have an uncapped max supply.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I honestly couldn't care less about circulating supplies. All I know is that I went all in ADA (knowing the risk I have for investing everything in one coin) but I got faith in the project and team.

Even if I do lose this cash (which is pretty significant), I got nothing really to lose.. Still young and many other opportunities ahead will surge! If I do win, well.. $$ for me Smiley

PS: got in at $0.023, $0.05+, $0.08+ and now at $0.11+ so either ways, I've already profited. Plan though is to HODL for a few years.

I think this project is a pearl on a sea of shitcoins, and I also plan to accumulate heavily over the time for the long term. I like that they are peer reviewing everything they publish, and taking a very careful and "militar-secure" approach to smart contracts. Also, they are not hyping anything and have a very ambitious roadmap and the team to deliver it.

Exactly! I believe this will be big.. Just a matter of time and patience Smiley

I dont really understand what the number of decimals is related to the price?! Can you explain this by chance a little further (to someone that is not a big fan of math). Thanks in advance!

Most of the cryptocoins have eight decimal digits. For instance, Bitcoin can be divided to 0.00000001. ADA has six digits, so can be divided to 0.000001. To make them "comparable" in pure coin supply terms, you have to divide ADA coin supply by 100 to account for the two less digits. So max cap 45.000.000.000 would be camparable to a 450 million eight digits coin.

In this way, the current price around $0.118185 for 25 billion ADA would be comparable to $11.8185 for an eight digits coin.
