the title says it all. initial price and power consumption are not of concern. looking to only buy one though.

very funny guy

Thanks, I try Smiley

My understanding is that it is based on the scrypt algorithm, so, I'm guessing there are a pile of ASICS out there mining this. But if you want a GPU, I believe the nVidia range handle this algorithm better than the AMD range.

I'm very new to mining, so, maybe a more experienced miner would give you better information.

I started by watching a few videos by BitsBeTrippin.

Have a look at some of his videos, there are ones on how to build a mining rig and how to use their multiminer to get started mining.

There will be videos there that will get you started. Good luck.

Well there is no point in mining LTC with your GPU as you are not mining BTC with a GPU. You are familiar with ASIC Miners ... and you are knowledgeable of that much, So somehow feels like a creating a new thread to just to get some post count for your new account

Innosilicon A4+ is the current "king of the hill" for Scrypt - if you have $10,000 or so to buy their min order of 3 at a time.
BW.com supposedly is selling their L21 Scypt miner, but dunno any details on how or min order size - it's very close to the L3+ on specs.
Otherwise, you're looking at the L3+ or at older-generation used miners like the Titan, A2, or Alcheminer.

Litecoin is the original Scrypt coin (and one of the VERY FIRST altcoins at all), I used to mine it on GPUs back when it COULD be GPU mined but that was ballpark 4 years back.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!
Like something I said? Donations gratefully accepted. LYLnTKvLefz9izJFUvEGQEZzSkz34b3N6U (Litecoin)
