@americanpegasus, also known as katiecharms on Reddit has posted this on /r/aeon after it was confirmed that there was some group attacking Aeon by renting Amazon cloud servers and mining with them using Aeon-pool.
The attack was stopped, but the Aeon community does not know those who are responsible for it.
In any case, I have some suspicions on who they are. Try to guess who hehehe.
Such an action, to rent such a massive amount of hashing power in the short term and point it at the largest pool doesn't ring anything but malicious.
