Do to the number of scams with crypto currency’s. I don’t think it would be a bad idea to require a certain number of posts or activity level in order to post ads in the marketplace. This would prevent scammers from just joining the forum and posting a scam in the marketplace. Even if they tried to spam the forum with activity quickly to enable posting to the marketplace. Members could still search their posts and see if they are contributing or just spamming the forum. I belong to other forums that require this same thing to prevent this type of thing from happening.

it will be hard because the mods are very busy and they do not have the time to check post of every new user. so what you say is impossible right now but if there are more dt and mods it is doable

I agree, but i think they should also can choose to pay copper membership to post in marketplaces as new members Smiley

It won't be hard since admin simply could forbid members with rank "brand new" or  "newbie" and this option surely available in SMF and just need few clicks to do it.

Right. If they changed it so the forum would not allow them to post until a certain level was obtained then the mods wouldn’t have to do anything. The marketplace would be locked out until they reached that level. I think one forum I belonged to required a min of 50 posts in order to post in the marketplace. If you tried with less than 50. You would get a pop up saying you need at least 50 post to place an ad in the marketplace.

I don’t know if it will be a good idea because everyone knows that here in the crypto-world you are in constant risk due to users’ anonymity, etc. You can be scammed by the most trustable person at some given conditions. Limiting newbies account could delay –not stop- people getting scammed but also will delay the spreading of great services here in the forum.

No. New members should be able to make posts. Post count isn't equivalent to trust. You should be wary regardless of the post account.

I think there should be a 1 hour login limit though before making your first post in the market.
