I'm confused... Could you please explain? Forks occur when blocks are found within few seconds of each other, implying that one of them will eventually been orphaned. What is that list of forks that you gave above? How did they occur?

that is not a fork. what you say is a bunch of terminology regarding new blocks and what happens to them in different cases like when the block has not parent. read it here: https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/5859/what-are-orphaned-and-stale-blocks

a fork in programming is when you "copy the original code" for yourself to change it.
but a fork in bitcoin is when you change the "rules" of bitcoin. for example changing consensus rules about block size. some refer to it as "making something that was invalid before, valid. or making something that was valid before, invalid"
in case of the list i mentioned here, these people are changing something about bitcoin. some increase the block size some change the algorithm, change the supply,... this change results in a new chain and a new coin which we call an "altcoin".

Maybe this is SCAM, but for SCAM it is too plausible, and it is possible that it will be the next one)
Maybe not, decide yourself))

Why would you recommend that as opposed to having the OP place his coin in a wallet which he controls? Anyone concerned about such things ought to spend time looking at and coming to terms with what it means to own cryptocurrency.

To the OP: you need to start reading up on wallets. Spend time learning how they work. At the very least download a few wallets and see how they work.

https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet lists wallets.

I use electrum and armory. If you're going to stay in the crypto world you need to understand how wallets work.

Well...what kind of fork they are talking about here https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/guides/what-is-a-bitcoin-fork/
Your answer is inconsistent with that article. Is it difference in terminology?

New year bitcoin? for real? I don't like the name as it's seasonal. Based on the others this is the worst. I'd like to study the others.

i was wrong, sorry. i guess that is also called a fork.

it is only going to last a short while anyways, i would be surprised to see half of these forks stay alive for more than a year, maybe even 6 months.

It is recommended to put your bitcoin in large exchanges. Large exchanges generally support bitcoin split snapshots, so that you can get your fork money for the first time. And what I want to say is that only a small number of split and contrastive coins are good, and most forks will end up at a worthless point.

Best way to claim all the upcoming forks is to store your Bitcoins in a local wallet where you can control, view or export your private keys. I personally use Electrum for this, but you can also use another wallet with private key support.

It is highly recommended to send all your coins to a new wallet before you expose your private rather import it into a fork wallet, because there are many scammers out there just waiting to steal your BTC.
