Looking for good, trusted VPN, details inside.

Hello fellow bitcoiners,

As the title states, I'm looking for a good, trusted VPN service, with as many server locations as possible. I'd like to pay $40 (~0.40 BTC) per year or less. I've seen quite a few on the bitcoin wiki but I have no ideas which to trust and which is good.

I'd appreciate any and all suggestions. I would also like to know which sites to avoid if you know of any

I recently discovered that namecheap is accepting BTC. Im using them for over 7 years now as domain registrar and had a small $20 VPS with them for a couple of months.

I started using Private Internet Access (PIA) recently. Like the service and selected it because was well liked on TorrentFreak.com.  I don't torrent anymore, but those guys seem to know what they're talking about when it comes to privacy.

Anyways, its been working quite well, I use it on my Nexus 10, wife's Macbook, and my Win7 desktop all at the same time.  I believe you can have 5 simultaneous logins to support your many devices all at once.

The only complaint I have is that the download manager I like to use, JDownloader, doesn't connect/work right when PIA is running...so I have to turn it off then.

I'm pissed off at them.  I sent them money for a subscription and they never sent me a confirmation or details.  I contact their support and they wont send anything without confirmation info - but I never got any!  Basically, they took my bitcoins haven't given me service and refuse to do anything about it.  They ripped me off.

privateinternet access IS legit, ignore anyone saying otherwise. they simply do not understand how it works. here is how it works: 1000 people are connecting through the same vpn and it cannot be identified which one sends which request. so even if they were keeping logs, which they don't, you are safe.

I have had no problems with them and have been using them for about 9 months. I would be interested in seeing something comparable from Switzerland but for me private internet access is great!

Private internet access is what bitcointalk uses, and also why does everone need a vps? I assume it is for bitcoind, but why dont people just use the blockchain api? It makes life a lot easier...

Hey if your interested you should check out https://mullvad.net/en/ they are pretty good from what I hear.

Personally I use http://www.bolehvpn.net/. I've been using them for over a year now and haven't had a problem with them at all. Easy to use and setup. Also some nice perks.
I haven't had to use there customer service, but from what I can tell in there forums from others that have had to use their customer service, its top notch. Someone is always there to help.

And the best part is they do accept Bitcoin.

Of course you should do your own research. I can't stress this point enough but, no matter which VPN you decide to use make sure to look at their "Privacy Policy".
You don't want your own VPN throwing you under the bus when the SHTF.

First of all, EVERYTHING which has a connection with the US cannot be trusted anymore. So, when PIA is located in the US, you DO NOT have any privacy at all. Keep that in mind at all times when you want to have services based on anonymity and privacy. Do not listen to others when they say that I am talking crap because i do not the US has a very strict policy when i comes to VPN, encryption etc. and the NSA wants to know everything what is based on privacy, encryption and anonymity.

I offer VPN accounts based on TOTAL privacy with servers located in the EU. I log nothing because my service is based on prepaid so according our law not needed to log. Only problem is that i cannot give year contracts, because that is not based on prepaid.
