I ask because say I have a file someone might want, like an app, an image, etc (I know there's a site for this but I don't trust it) does this fall under some restriction or is this considered "goods and services".

I feel really awful asking this but I'm just curious.

What else could I say?

The forum strives to allow free discussion of any ideas. All policies are built around this principle. This doesn't mean you can post garbage, though: posts should actually contain ideas, and these ideas should be argued reasonably.

There really aren't bitcoin laws. You can buy/sell anything using bitcoins, we can't stop you (your government is another matter). That's part of the beauty.

That's brilliant, the only question is where would be the correct forum/place to do so? I'm fairly sure this board isn't the right place and the one other place I know of feels shady..

What else could I say?

I would recommend using #bitcoin-otc, but there's not really any correct place. Anywhere you can find someone willing to purchase your item with bitcoins is good. You're right that this board isn't really the right place, but you can try the Marketplace board or one of its children. Things are bought and sold there quite frequently.

You can buy and sell whatever you want as long as you pay me a 10% commission either side Tongue
