First of all welcome in this crypto currency world.
Some altcoin will bypass bitcoin in the future?  I don't think it would be happen, because the bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrencies no one altcoin can beat a bitcoin.

Not sure, but since bitcoin is the starting point of all others I thinks there is no need to by pass it right?
I mean a bad impact will occur if something bypass bitcoin.

I dont think is possible for any altcoins to bypass bitcoins in the near future in terms of value, Bitcoins is far higher than any other altcoins.

i recently added 2-step authentication with Google Authenticator on my smartphone.

a standalone app is more secure than SMS texting, because a cellphone can be hacked or switched away from the owner.

Recommended!!!

There are lot of fundamentally good coins having solid use cases and functional product running is production.
But people tend to get emotionally attached to a coin. Same is the case with BTC. There are many good coins which can surpass it but emotions matter in market so it's hard for any coin to surpass it as of now. We don't know what future holds since all of crypto is at its nascent stage right now.
