I know there is a thread for press, but I just have to observe a milestone in the history of bitcoin. The first bitcoin article in the New York Times.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/04/business/media/04link.html?_r=1

P.S. Hey NY Times, I'll subscribe today if you take bitcoins.

The value of bitcoins is not a theory, predictions of it's failure are what is theoretical.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Cool to see Amherst, MA mentioned in the NYT, since I grew up there, and currently live right across the river.

Too much sensationalism and no thoughtful analysis.
