I'm using the hempcoin wallet for windows from their website and it's taking forever to sync. It has connections but doesn't actually seem to be going down the blocks. (I can see it's using my internet for something)

I sent some THC to my wallet thinking it was sync'd and now the balance isn't showing, the address which I sent too has lit up but I've had the wallet open for days.

Any idea how to speed it up so to get the coins showing?

I have no idea what "hempcoin" is but I predict you are using the full node client that's a fork of Bitcoin Core.

Well, on that case no, there's no way to speed it up, other than getting better internet connection, a better computer to validate nodes faster, and try to improve your connectivity by opening the adequate ports. If there aren't many peers on hempcoin's network then that could be a problem beyond your reach.

You could try to find out if there are some SPV wallets available for hempcoin (similar to Electrum for BTC etc)

Hempcoin is $THC on bittrex.

My internet isn't the fastest so possible it's that just weird it got to 90% and has came to a standstill.

Would I be able to export the wallet and the coins appear if I import into another wallet?

Is this issue not cause by your computer specs? I mean it could be possible that your computer's ram is having a hard time running your wallet.

If this is a wallet that needs to download the whole blockchain, yes that takes time (could even be days). No way to speeding it up. I am not sure if for that coin there is a wallet that does not need that (light wallet).

You could try checking out the network activity here:

Im assuming your client has this since it looks like a bitcoin-qt or bitcoin core fork judging from your screenshot, so click on help, debug window and then network traffic tab:

And if you are seeing green lines then you are on a doing ok. If you don't see green lines you aren't downloading anything which could be due lack of peers.. so contact developers for that.
