maybe ethereum is the right choice if you want to invest long term. if you want a quick profit, you can trade eth to usd or eth to btc, buy cheap and sell expensive. because I believe ethereum will be very valuable in the future.

I'd buy a couple of ethers or EOS, which seems to Ethereum 2.0 like Buterin said. Both currencies are promising and trustworthy I my opinion.

man so many people asked this question, prolly over 10 topics just this week lol check arround a bit the answers will always be the same.
Litecoin is a good option, it will likely go to 1k in 2018 (its 300 dollar now)
ETH is cool too, its 700 dollar now might see 1k within a few weeks
Waves is nice too, 13-14 dollar now still very cheap compared to many and is likely to rise allot in 2018, 100 dollar in 2018 wouldn't suprise me with all the updates and hype

I have chosen Ethereum and I got lucky that I did it before it rise in dollars exchange. Yesterday it was 721 dollars while I bought it at $380. A good year for all the ethereum holders. It is almost doubled although the price is going back a little to $680  But I am not giving up on it. I am for $1000 a piece of ethereum before the year ends. |

A diversified portfolio of good ones. I would put Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, NEO and NEM at least in any portfolio. You could add others but those are the basics in my opinion.

Buy a lot of Ripples. It's trendy now and looks like they gonna go up in price. Doesn't seem to be a scam too, so there are barely any risks. I'd reccomend to try it.

You can try to hold BCH,BTG,and ETH for longer term since the value keep increasing ! Why I suggest long term ? Because altcoin trading far more riskier if you trade in short term but it's back to you for the final decision (*I'm ever had bad experience for short term trading ) |

I went for DeepOnion. Bought 800 coins at 0.8$ exactly a month ago now it's 2.81$ so do the math :-)
Besides DeepOnion i try to diversify as much as i can. Lately i am buying BTX but have also "solid" coins for the long run ( ETH + ETC )

Depends on your capital if you have low capital to invest then you can buy altcoins which cheaper price and wait for the price to rise but if you have good capital then investing in eth and monero is always an best choice.

Split it and take some "safe" ones in the top 5 in coinmarketcap, some around 30 and leave some capital for venturing in to the low capital ones.
On specific coins I cannot say but you should on things that have good tech and a market in mind. Make sure you pick up some anonymous coins like Navcoin or PIVX.
