Segwit 2x Activation

Hello,
I bought three(3) b2x futures from Hitbtc exchange at the rate of $1300 usdt per b2x last month. Then immediately it dropped to $200 usdt. Now I am in great worry about that when segeit 2x will be activated. Please info me the activation date of Segwit 2x that was cancelled last month if anyone know. Help me please. It's very important for me & for my life as my all money are invested there.

Now, I'm not saying that there's no chance that it will ever happen, but it seems very unlikely at this point because they decided that they had failed to garner enough consensus to go through with the fork.

In future, you should avoid putting money that you can't afford to lose.  That includes Bitcoin in general but it especially includes worthless tokens for something that doesn't exist yet.

I think you have to wait for some time because the last news I heard about the B2X activation was when the team ask for miners debation which I don't know how it all end up.

It won't be activated, at least not in any substantial manner, because it was cancelled. Sorry to hear that you lost money but you should have done more research into what you were investing in.

Knowledge along with tangible information is the skills require for trading. I'm sorry for what happened to you OP and this is the part where I consider trading and gambling as the same thing because they are both guessing quest.

You need to be more careful next time before you invest into any new altcoin.

You bought futures for a coin that will never exist. Good luck with that! That's why you just buy coins that exist! I thought that went without saying, but hitbtc is sketchy and they love to pull this crap.

I doubt he bought any actual futures contracts, but yeah, that's what he essentially did. And when you trade "futures" of yet-to-be-created coins like some of these exchanges love doing lately, you're literally speculating on the possible price of something that may or may not happen.

Am sorry to hear of your situation, but at the same time hope that you have learnt your lesson.

Oh and yes, S2x was suspended... but some miners decided to fork anyway (block height 494,784). Happened on Nov 17, something like 5% miner support, last I heard anyway. Can't be bothered to see if the chain survived or not.

Till now the time frame is not known and it doesn't seems possible or probability is too low that Segwit2x will activate in near future because segwit2x was cancelled not delayed. Probably you have made a big mistake by buying coins in advance, those coins are worthless now until the activation.

You guys are mistaking what really happen concerning the SegWit2X because the project was actually suspended not cancelled which is why I told the OP to wait for awhile.

You might get your money back. Check all upcoming forks. But for next time, do not put all your money in one coin or whatewer, it is dump and too risky.

I think their initial stance was it was just postponed, but at this point, I have to think it’s dead.
