Does anyone know why the current price of XRP is so different depending on the exchange?

Gatehub is currently 0.53 USD
Bitstamp is currently 0.77699 USD

Usually they are within 0.01 USD.  Why such a huge disparity now?

These things happen occasionally, also with other currencies. A good oportunity to earn something through arbitrage.

Binance has this ''problem'' a lot of times too, it usually lags several minutes behind other exchanges.

My thoughts exactly.  Just curious why the gap is so big right now.

It is not a "lag" binance and bitstamp has always putted different prices on their exchanges, and they usually have the price of alts maybe less than five percent below of the real price on Bittrex or Poloniex, or just in coinmarketcap.

Binance has this ''problem'' a lot of times too, it usually lags several minutes behind other exchanges.

You can still make a lot of money if you have a good amount of money and you decide to do arbitrage in both exchanges, bithumb is a little bit risky because a lot of people had issues while they wanted to withdraw their money.

But in the other exchanges, you have a difference of three to four cents.

It is a decent thought but because they generally don't have crazy margins you need big capital to see some actual profit. That being said you also need to be verified on both exchanges so that you can cash out all you want right away. Lastly if the spreads are quite big usually they don't allow you to withdraw because they know exactly what will happen and put the wallet in maintenance mode. Make sure to check everything is correct before proceeding.

Thanks for the tips.
