Official statement or did Cryptsy just make all users' FTC disappear?

If you looked / asked on Cryptsy chat, Vern is in the matrix, looking into the issue right now.

No worries about the exit. FTC was always considered as the first (or at least one of the first) copy-paste clone of LTC. The one with the silliest name too... It's not a shame if it will evantaully vanish from earth..

I hope people that think about FTC investments have the decency to Google it. I have a feeling you will not notify clients/customers via UNOCS of the issues regarding FTC. Third result after Googling is an article one of the other attacks. http://www.coindesk.com/feathercoin-hit-by-massive-attack/The article fails to mention that the reason the coin held value and did so well is that it was artificially inflated during the attacks. Something I personally heavily investigated and found plenty of information on.

So much drama in the crapcoin universe Not really drama just people suppressing information in order to make financial gains. Something currently worth over $800,000 USD is not terribly small.

Yes, there is a user. Its name is Btc-e Seriously, if you are trying to scare people than at least try something innovative.

That explains a lot. I was already wondering why my earnings were 50% lower than expected the last two days.

Is this one of the higher-hashing-power scrypt chains?
Does dividing up the world's scrypt-hashing power among many chains, instead of using merged mining to secure using the same hashing however many scrypt chains are "needed" or "desired", really seem to be helping a whole lot, or is it merely exacerbating the "blockchains are insanely expensive to secure" problem?

They will display for a period of time and then completely disappear so you will never know they were even there. I don't understand why they would remove them.
