well it should give around 690 - 800 h/s on cryptonote based on clocks and bios using claymore cryptonote miner now you can mine ETN that gives 3-3.5 usd per day or monero that gives 2-2.5 usd per day that will be around 80 - 100 usd per month with one RX 580 it would help if you say what brand is it too.

I have mined with an unmodified rx480 4gb and got just over 600 hashes. You can probably get 680 hashes or so with overclocking and modded the bios.

2-3mhs difference. Unless the price difference is tiny I would not bother with the 8gb. It is more about what memory it is then the amount. It's also a hit and miss r like a lucky packet when it comes to the exact hashrate of each card as it can vary.
