Personally, now is the best time to buy ethereum, and hold it for the long term k think in 2018 will make you rich. Ethereum have a big potential for investment, and by 2018 i sure it will be its ethereum year, just wait and see.

At this stage whoever has invested in coins like Stellar or Ripple have definitely seen massive change and profit.
These 2 altcoins have been showing high potential recently, Stellar rising from almost nothing to 0.18$ and Ripple surging 89% to be the 3rd biggest digital currency for a moment.
If you're still thinking of investing in Altcoins, i believe there still is time to do so as i believe that Ripple will reach $1 or even $2 in the coming year.

I would buy some BTC, ETH and also 3rd generation of cryptos like ADA and IOTA.

Everyone will have they're own picks, but i suggest you make a sort of collection of all the info you have and actually read through those coins projects. Whitepapers, roadmaps, how active the team is.. etc.
Look at the existing regulation and think about possible regulation to come that could hurt/benefit certain coins.
I have nothing against doing this for profit, but really... invest in alts with projects you actually like. It's your money, why would you just go into something because people tell you to.

I'm not picking on altcoins like for those cheap coin i always hunt for those high valued coin or altcoins. Here's my advice when you picking up a coins be sure that the coins are have solid coins or strong team build up and also have  potential coin but i can advise to you is do some researched when you got invested in some altcoin or choosing cheap coins it turns to shit coin.
Do your own research before you got invested altcoin because it is now a very high risk to invested.

not sure about the bitcoin prices will decrease caused by we will meet the bitcoin futures contract soon. A lot of the speculators are saying about the fact that will bring the more volatility to the bitcoin market and the prediction should be above the latest price of the bitcoin and that will be increasing a lot soon. You should do a lot of research about that. But i most of the promising coin has the best team behind it. look at swissborg, quantstamp and many promising projects.

Do you think it will be easier to invest in bitcoin since the price will just keep increasing for sure? I want to put some investment soon before its too late.

I think you can buy bitcoin and then you can buy altcoin as your daily trading. maybe you can divide that bitcoin so you can use that bitcoin as your long term investment too besides that your daily trading. btc price will decrease but you don't have to worried because bitcoin price will increase soon after the decrease.
