Since im not the only one that feels screwed by Avalon i start this Scam Accusation thread: I think personal wellbeing is more important then business dissapointments.
Mafia is in control overthere.
If there are Triad and/or PLA thugs bothering Avalon the Bitcoin Police will make short work of them! Icoin, please start a Scam Accusation thread, or otherwise escalate our issue as necessary to get Bitcomsyn's attention! my trade-in still has not been added to my store account. 7/18/2013 No mail....no payment address for trade in ticket #985
another day passed, no response from Avalon team.
Apr 23rd trade-in, ticket #961.
I don't know if I should laugh or cry, but one thing is certain; I have never seen anything like it before.
same here: no mail, no order in my account now it seems they ship batch 3 and chips before trade-in units I'm really disappointed. The trust is gone. Personally, I'm done with Team Avalon, if there is not some sort of compensation.

Wow, good job Icoin! That last quote sounds like a review for Bitcoin: The Movie! To be honest i dont realy think that this will help, they deliver en mass to China, even if Switzerland has signed a free trade agreement with China now, i dont see a cooperation with them any more as realistic or even worth to persue. Like server said: I think personal wellbeing is more important then business dissapointments. The no bullshit, no fine print terms of sale
We Accept Bitcoin Only – Bitcoin allow us to collect large sum of assets in a short period of time, and due their nature the bitcoins can also be move to where they are suppose to go in a similar time frame. It also make sense as the Avalon units mine bitcoins so they should be priced as such accordingly.
No Refunds - The Avalon units are made on a built-to-order basis. This means when you place an order, your bitcoins are used to order parts to construct your Avalon Unit. Refunds therefore are impossible. Utilizing a short time frame, batch based, and built-to-order method allows to manage finances properly and reduce risk for all parties. e.g. Avalon ASIC, the re-sellers and the buyers.
No Address Change - Unless it is a special case no address change will be allowed, please allocate time correctly to handle the delivery of these units, There has been too many people attempting to sell these units and changing their shipping address. You can choose what to do with them after you receive them, but whilst they are still in our hands they will go to the address the order was originally intended for.
Limited Customer Support - The Avalon team is comprised of a small group of capable people; however, we are also extremely limited in manpower. Every one of us handles multitude of tasks, and for this reason we will have very limited customer support. No news is good news. We apologize for this, but we do not expect this situation to change.
Not Newbie Friendly - The Avalon units are designed much like a hardware development board, while it works out of the box with very little configuration it is ultimately geared towards developers and experienced miners, please do your research before purchasing. A good place to start is the Bitcoin Wiki page on Avalon.
Please read this carefully, as with all things Bitcoin one should treat this as an investment and make the decision best for you based on the liquid-able funds available at the moment when placing an order. GMP is running since more than one year for its shareholders and did deliver allways as promised, we like to keep it this way. In contrary to AVALON, KNC offers the hardware with 12 Months warranty, and im sure the devices gonna have a CE certificate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CE_marking. I guess this is one of the main reasons why Avalon is barly delivered outside China and has problems with customs. This allso explains why they deliver chips to other developers instead of the promised trade-in. When Bitsyncom is not man enough to talk openly about this problems and keeps the trade-in folks since months in the "Mysts of Avalon" with misleading Emails, he deserves the "Scamer Tag".

And now, it looks like they started shipping batch 3.
They said trade-ins will be shipped before batch 2 and the pricing will be same as batch 2 pricing (less the trade-in credits).
Go figure.

Batch#2 is almost finished shipping. But as I know there is still no shipping information for trade-in customers. How can they be trusted?

Icoin, have you considered sending registered letters of demand to Avalon at their Chinese and Nevada locations?

According to me that doesnt make sense. Its to late for Avalon to deliver 110nm within the trade-in promise. To get now the promised trade-in would be a very bitter result. What i see as realistic equilibrium, is that they deliver the next generation of devices for the unfortunate trade-ins as first with: 1. Warranty (at least 12 months) 2. CE Seal (for flawless delivery to CH) 3. 100% Support Maybe this is wishfull thinking. But i expect a company after a year of activity to be a bit more settled down. At least in Switzerland a spoken contract has the same value as a written contract. Mr. Chen has a list, and im quite sure they are very aware that trade-in's wasnt treated right.

Can you or somebody please list those addresses. Avalon failed to deliver 2 machines from batch 2, and refuse to answer emails/PMs/tickets/skype etc.

Waste of time to send to the China addresses, you would be better sending to the local government.... IF you had their business registration details.

Update: BTC from pre-orders was never spent. Why-I-Eff-You may not have wallet access/control any longer. Photographic evidence of ~375k chips dates to early July, Why-I-Eff-You claims chips still in customs. All kinds of of sketchy FUD about greed, lies, conflict, and Triad assassins. No sex though obviously, as this is still Bitcoin. This has now all just been confirmed today; Basically, this team designed chips(110nm) for Avalon.
And for some unknown reason, they are looking for some new partner/investor.(40nm) And,we don't know what happened inside Avalon.
To summarize what you and johnyj have said: (1) Key members of the Avalon design team are now independent of Avalon; (2) This new design team is proposing the development of a 40nm chip; (3) The team is seeking investment - as in capital, as opposed to crowd source or pre-sales. IS THIS CORRECT?Where you assumed that they seek investment or new partner? Also, where is evident that they bitsysncom asic team has split inside? Maybe this has something to do with btc address for chip purchases? Yifu said that who claim that they own that btc address. This is why is asked for clarification. As to my inferences: (1) yuchuanzhen stated "Based on the author's words, may be some thing happened to the Avalon team. And,most like a big one." (2) and (3), yuchuanzhen stated "And for some unknown reason, they are looking for some new partner/investor.(40nm)" Again, this development is currently, in primary source, in Chinese. I think everyone who is reporting it, in English, should be very careful to be very clear. Presumptions themselves may not translate correctly, even if they are, themselves, correct. Yep. That's exactly what I've been saying since that happened. Learn the truth about who controlled those chips, and the truth about those statements, and then, and only then, would you know the truth about Avalon. Nobody cared. And anyone who might actually have known would not repeat it, because, after all, that's part of that culture. So now, here we are, with some guys trying to see if they can really buy a dozen chips out of Shenzen on alibaba. BKKcoins, burnin, terrahash, Sebastain, and the others, I'm truly sorry for your losses and disappointments.

It's my belief that they have been making deals with shady groups in an attempt to improve their bottom line As far as the threats of violence go, if they are real, my thoughts are that they are from rival shady groups, or from disgruntled customers. In either case, based on the timing of events I would deduce that the threats are only recent.. like within this past week, and yifu has seen this as a golden opportunity to use it as an excuse for the mess that's been made.
Like when someone is running late to work.. and it's definitely the fault of traffic.. not the fact they left late to begin with.
But it's all speculation. The only thing we can confirm, is the existence of the chips, and their successful shipping to an international export/import specialist company.

If you've been on the Internet for about five minutes you'd know that threats of violence are always real and they come from every single idiot out there, especially when cruel reality takes a dump on his face. Aug 01 06:40:49 <pizza_deliveri> strange guy hope you get caught one day and taught some manners Aug 01 06:41:17 <mircea_popescu> pizza_deliveri o, you gonna mess me up, scammer toughboy ?
Of the hundreds of scammers we've exposed over the years a good half came by in some shape or form (anonymous, of course!) threatening violence. That good half is still hundreds. Sadly we've not yet had the pleasure of actually having security beat the living crap out of some enterprising young fellow, but one can only hope for the future.

Scam? More like a REFUND required BOYCOTT started... and lawsuits in waiting. https://sites.google.com/site/boycotavalon/Just the Facts Many of the community have invested in these chips at a time when AVALON had elevated themselves into arguably the top slot for BTC mining equipment. So far they have delivered 1 batch of chips to their "western" customer base and they were some 4 weeks overdue. Their "No Bullshit" terms of sale have not been followed; sample/developer chips provided 4 weeks after payment of order didnt happen. Shipping of chips 9-10 weeks after payment didnt happen. They are clearly in violation of their own terms of sale and therefore must offer a full refund to those purchasers requesting such. Whatever you have been told, their statement "No refunds" does not waive our statutory rights as consumers. I am a large shareholder in a group buy who have already requested a refund and have not received any reply. This is simply not acceptable from a company who has taken $millions of our money. Our group has realised that this 6+ week in delay and counting has effectively made the chips worthless to us. If the majority of shareholders in group buys decide that they will be wasting more money for fabrication costs and having no chance of seeing a ROI, then perhaps, its time to demand a full REFUND from BitSyncom, after all there are other companies which can likely deliver sooner and represent a more favourable investment. I would urge all batch leaders to poll your group buy members and find out what THEY want, if a large number of group buy leaders request a refund, there will have to start addressing the issue. BitSyncom need to understand that they need to open up channels of communication and address this serious issue which affects hundreds if not thousands of consumers. If this situation continues for much longer, the chips will not be worth their initial cost + development cost. If you have any information about BitSyncom, full personal details, addresses (for legal communication), telephone numbers and e-mail addresses, Links to their personal media pages, personal future appointments at events (dates and locations), any info which will help to make contact, please post it on this thread.
