Hi all,

yesterday I did 2 fast LTC withdraws for arbitraging reasons. Unfortunately things are gone bad:

for my big surprise, the withdrawals resulted to be completed with such of a TxID, but that txid on the block explorers was not found.

Money is arrived to the other hand, but only the amount of the first of 2 transactions, and only 8 hours later. i am still awaiting something like 8LTC (that's huge)

My question is, how is it technically possible to issue a transaction with a correct TxID (this morning the txid provided yesterday, was correctly found on explorers) but this is not available on the chain for hours or days? I am 18 hours delay now, for the second transaction. What can I do?

I think I'll leave Poloniex.

If they gave you the TXID then it means that the transaction has been initiated. If the coins are already in your wallet then the transaction is already confirmed/has received a decent number of confirmations. I'm guessing that it was because of the block explorer that you've used. So try and use as many block explorers as you can. You can find lots of them by doing a simple google search on the web.

So as for your 2nd transaction, But to clarify first how many withdrawal request have you did? Is it two? or just one but the total amount got divided into two?
If its two or more, What are the status of the withdrawals that you haven't received yet?

They could have signed the message in their wallet but not broadcast it to the network. In that case the txid that they provided you are going to be the txid once they send that particular transaction, but they just haven't pushed it onto the network just yet.

What can you do? Probably email their support if that makes you feel better, but honestly i do not feel like it's going to help this situation since they'll probably not get back to you with a response(at least a timely one).

Since there are already LTC in your wallet, i'm sure that they will probably send the second one sooner or later though.

Thanks for clarifyng me what could have happened, (signing transaction and not broadcasting)

yes, I did 2 withdrawals with the same problem, at distance of 30 minutes one fron another. The first (and smaller) of the two, arrived the next morning. The other one (and unfortunately bigger) still not in my wallet, and 27 hours have passed.

Hopefully they can eventually come through for you but they are unreliable af. Would not recommend using them again, until they sort out their piece of crap support and account limits. They just never come through when you need your money fast.

I searched up your txid on blockcypher and it says that your txid is not even a valid txid for LTC, so i'm not sure. It just be not broadcasted, but then why isn't it a valid txid for LTC? I don't know, ask the LTC experts. I don't know anything about litecoin lol.

But in every scenario possible, poloniex is the ones at fault. Contact their support.

The strange thing is that also the other Txid was invalid, then 8 hours later it appeared and money arrived.

Update,

after 72hrs the money finally arrived, with the same originary Txid.

Luckily I have been able to change them for BTC at the same original rate

don't think they even checked the ticket.

It would be largely due to the traffic around the network. I have been faced with similar situation on a token where the same thing happen but this time, it was from exchange site to another where I had to mail both about sending without valid TxID while the other why I'm not receiving as at when due. It later confirmed then a reply came which shows they didn't even bother to check the ticket raised just one generic answer.

Yes,
also in my case it was from Poloniex to GDAX.

I don't think it's a network issue I think there is something in poloniex procedures that sometime hangs
