BTC must be transferred from your wallet to mine before cash is given.  I mean, we will literally sit there (I'll buy drinks) while we wait for the transfer.  This is my first time buying this way, but, I don't know how else to buy them...  BitInstant is now gone!

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
