I hadn't found an up to date list of all intentional bitcoin hard forks. Many of them seem to be coming out recently and a list would be useful.

The best one is BitcoinX in terms of name, Super bitcoin is the worst one  It seems this is just a beginning. We may call only bitcoin forks as (alt)coins in the future rather than other coins.

The split is getting to frequent lately. I think something should be done to address it.

You can add it Bitcoin God, Chandler's Guo (a big miner in china) fork that he will release "as a christmas present for all bitcoin holders")

Not to be confused with Bitcoin Jesus, Bitcoin God is an actual alternative form of Bitcoin which will be created on December 25th. The goal is to introduce this fork at block height 501,225 on the Bitcoin network, which is expected to be mined around Christmas Day. Given that Bitcoin’s mining difficulty will increase in a few hours from now, that date may be off by a few hours or even days. It all depends on how many miners will stick around.

The news regarding Bitcoin God is brought to us courtesy of Chandler Guo. He doesn’t appear to be the main creator of this fork, though, as he simply shared a message from a chat conversation explaining this concept to non-Chinese Twitter users. There are a lot of different opinions about how Bitcoin should operate, and the Bitcoin Core camp is shrinking pretty quickly, by the look of things. So far, though, none of the hard forks have even made a dent in Bitcoin’s overall market position.

Whatever, im just letting these forks sit for the time being, too lazy to have to move coins each time I want to access a damn fork. I will dump them all eventually.

Bitcoin God added. It does become boring moving coins to wallets eligible for claiming coins indeed. I missed all those forks in the list that have happened already... hehe

On the other hand, most of them seem to be happening from Chinese developers. Is it now that ICOs were banned that forks might take part of the heat? Some were particularly esoteric to Chinese traders and bitcoin users with only Chinese supported and adoption just through China only exchanges.

I've added bitcoin Atom. This one doesn't seem to have a date or block number announced but I'm putting it up for information reasons anyway. Perhaps I should add a table and more fields.

In an open source community what can be done about it? The only thing I can think of is the right to the use of the name Bitcoin.

SegWit 2x coin is finally coming to life! lol

I can't be sure if this is a high-jack of the wannabe NY bitcoin agreement's brand name but it most definitely does seem like it. Its ticker is B2X, and is now trading on Yobit as futures. Added.

You can add BitcoinFile, fork on the 25th December. It is on the same date that Bitcoin God. It is about file sharing. They are making a Bitcoin fork for each currently existing technology...
One like ETH, one like Zec, and so on... Which one is going to replace Bitcoin?

I am yet to know why bitcoin is coming up every time endless number of splits can anyone just decide to have a fork of bitcoin. I was thinking bch will be the last when the split occurred.

it's such disgusting business practice, bordering on scamming. they are playing on people new to the space that don't know the difference.

Thanks for sharing this great info man. Although i am not a big fan of segwit2xs or har forks, i really am very intrigued/curious on how many segwit2xs/hard forks will ever be listed in this thread. Also, seeing the thoughts of the people in this community about the new segwit2xs/hard forks would be pretty great to witness. That is if thoughts about the alternative coins are allowed in this thread.


Anyways, i have added this to my watch list. I hope you do not get tired of uodating this list unlike other people promising to maintain updating a specific thread about something and then forgetting about it later on.
