Ethereum To Be $5000-$10000 in 2018?

If bitcoin cash can hit the $5000 mark in its first few months of appearance then why not ethereum, bch was called as shitcoin when it was first launched, whereas eth is a solid project and already very big, i think it can easily grow to $2k-$3k within next year to be fair.

Yes, it is possible but with in short period of time it is not possible to reach higher value because supply of ETH is higher, so people will start dumping the coin in the market, so it is always good to hold the coin.

I think it could just happen but of course not in quick time. It could be just in the middle of the year the new price could be reached by the ethereum, but faster up nicer.

I don't think it will happen, because I think the price is too expensive for ETH. It can take a very long time, or tens of years to come that price.

For price 5000$ ETH capitalization should be 16.2 billion dollars.

I would say no. There is not enough good news support to its price. ETH is not a pumped coin. It has a good platform which provides Smart contract technology. ETH is an stable growth coin

I think Ethereum will see $ 5,000. But when Ethereum is $ 5,000, Bitcoin is probably worth $ 50,000. In this case it is irrational to give up Bitcoin completely.

So I made a prediction on Litecoin a few days ago that sparked a lot of conversation on the thread. It was very interesting reading the different thought processes and predictions. So I decided to do the same for Ethereum, however, I think that Ethereum has a chance to go beyond the 2-5k threshold in 2018, if only they would market a bit better. I believe that they need to get these new "coinbase noobies" to understand what Ethereum is and why it's significant if they want to stand a chance of getting above that threshold in 2018.

In my opinion, this thing will only happen if the crypto market cap can touch around $1 or $2 trillion marketcap.
It probably will happen in 2018 , everyone hopes for it.

ETH can scale a lot I think, especially if they switch to PoS it will get more efficient and possibly work better.

I think it will easily be 5k and higher in 2018 due to price appreciation from the growing crypto market, the buy&hold taxation issue currently in play, and the huge numbers of ICO's that are using it for the smart contracts and need to buy it to transfer into new coins being created, which are showing more utility than ever.  If one tracks the current ICO market, we are finally seeing coins with utility being created, which will completely change the shitcoin market into a much more viable market filled with companies DOING things.  Ethereum is the peg for many of them.

Current price of Ether - around $750USD
Prediction for 2018 - 10X at a minimum.  $7500 per coin. 

It could also go much much higher if things like 'the flippening' occurs, or if BCH does different things, or if the market grows faster than a 1-2T during 2018, which is entirely possible. 

If Bitcoin truly remains the 40-50% base, and it goes 10X or more, believe that ETH will indeed rise at least 10X, and possibly higher, due to a wide variety of follow-me issues.

BUY ICO's that give dividends in ETH.  This is a wise choice since you get the underlying coin appreciation, solid companies, and payouts in ETH.  Look at coins like Spectre, for example, has amazing prospects to make you rich with ETH.  Do you believe that Crypto is going to supplement/replace/augment banks and financial institutions?  Of course they will.  Coins like Spectre are going to be the first movers in this space.  Or look at coins like Angel Token that will be investing in many coins and then spinning off dividends in ETH.   There are others out there in play and starting up that will do this.

So yes, buy and hold ETH, look into coins that also use it and pay out in it.  ETH is going to be hot hot hot this coming year.

$5000 is more realistic price growth than $10k, records showed this year ETH almost reach 9000% price increase so by next year $5k is not far enough I heard there are more and more investors shifting into cryptocurrency trading everyday so next year volume will be huge for many altcoins especially etherium.

Ethereum is a great alt coin actually it's the best alt coin but i think $10000 is a very optimistic guess to make now. It is gonna go up in long term that's for sure but the numbers you gave seem little to much to me. It could go like 2k or 3k maybe.

The difference comes from the supply, ethereum is still bigger than bitcoin cash despite the price being about 1/4 of that of bitcoin cash. I think ethereum can hit 5000 or more in time but by then it will be the biggest crypto in my opinion.

This is relatively possible, this year has been a good year for ETH and it might not be go to $5k threshold next year but i am sure it will be worth a thousand. If they can resolve the network issues by next year i guess it will be another good year for ETH.
