Ethereum To Be $5000-$10000 in 2018?

So I made a prediction on Litecoin a few days ago that sparked a lot of conversation on the thread. It was very interesting reading the different thought processes and predictions. So I decided to do the same for Ethereum, however, I think that Ethereum has a chance to go beyond the 2-5k threshold in 2018, if only they would market a bit better. I believe that they need to get these new "coinbase noobies" to understand what Ethereum is and why it's significant if they want to stand a chance of getting above that threshold in 2018.

I think ethereum will go as high as $5,000 but like op said the developers need a lot of advertisements in other to go that high.

I do not think that Ethereum will reach the price of $ 5000-10000 this year. This is a very high price compared to the current reality. Now, Ethereum is facing many difficulties, Ethereum price is very low, only about $ 600, I think Ethereum will need more time to recover and grow. I think the highest price that Ethereum can achieve this year is $ 2,500. So now I'm going to use all my savings to invest in Ethereum. In addition, this is a good opportunity for us to buy other potential altcoins such as Litecoin, Cardano, NEO or Monero.

the ethereum price is slowly pumping this year, by the end of the year i think eth will pump up to $1500. but this is only a predicition.. it depends on the investor and the buyer of the eth.. so if you want to hold eth make sure that you are ready to hold it for long term.

In 2018 I do not think that the price for ETH will grow so much. A maximum of 3000 dollars. The other day the currency has fallen in price, and all the cryptocurrencies too, but I plan to buy ETH at an advantageous rate.

I think Ethereum isn't ready for this price. Developers have a lot to do to increase scalability. In the future the price will be much higher!

I completely agree. This year, this price will not reach, but in a year or two - this is quite realistic

I don't think so that ETH will reach that much high price by the end of this year, currently ETH is at 603$ and by the end of 2018 it will be at 825$ - 950$ maximum. Eth is good for long term investment (For 2 years min).

I think that $10000 is absolutely out of the question. $5000 is not likely either, because this is too much in my opinion. 9-10x grow is a little too much.

Possibly the price will start to recover in a short. This will lead the price reach $5000  or even higher by this year. Because, bitcoin is losing its value and under peer pressure from the government. More people has been switching to ethereum from bitcoin which might generate more market to ethereum.

I think ethereum is not ready for that growing price as we can see now eth is in low price and we know that it's long journey to make possible that Eth will reach a price of 5k to 10k.

I think the ETH problem set to be 5k-10k $ or more is just a matter of time because for me ETH is the most potential coin in the cryptocurrecny market. Many practical applications using ETH, many ICO projects using ETH platforms also help ETH to have a strong community in this market.

Yep, I think this speculation is quiet unrealistic and really not possible this year. Better to buy more eth instead on focusing for the future price because this coin is really great and your profit is sure in the long run, so grab this oppurtunity of buying cheap eth now.

I don't believe in such predictions. Even if everything will go smooth with crypto and the situation will be amazing - it will be maximum 3.000usd.

$5000 is more realistic price growth than $10k, records showed this year ETH almost reach 9000% price increase so by next year $5k is not far enough I heard there are more and more investors shifting into cryptocurrency trading everyday so next year volume will be huge for many altcoins especially etherium.

Although ETH has had an impressive growth in 2017, I think that $5000 or $10000 is an unbeliable target now. Maybe $1000 to $2000 is a suitable goal for the investors.

I think so. And consider that ethereum actually touched its all time high recently while bitcoin was still in a downtrend. That's pretty huge. Possibly a sign that it wont rely on bitcoin.

You referring to passing bitcoin's market cap? I doubt that would ever happen. Especially if lightening network is successful and popularity rises.

Wow that's huge speculation and too good to be true pardon me, I'm not that negative  but that speculation seems to much for a huge coin supply like Ethereum but if its going to happen will its a very positive sign and a classic example that in crypto everything is a Surprise!

Yes, anything is very possible in crypto as it is volatile but ethereum reaching this price in 2018 is not possible considering the present price and and the bearish period is not over. It will need a lot of time to recover after the market recover and it will reach this price in the near future.
