You can really tell that this thread started at the back end of 2017. Back then, $5k for ETH in a year's time seemed quite possible. But after a difficult year so far for all of crypto, personally I'd be happy to see ETH at $1k by year end. I don't think we'll see anything quite like that Dec2017-Jan2018 rise anytime soon.
I remember tons of people said ethereum would turn back to $20 when it hit $50 in 2017 but then what happened? Ethereum reached $1450 and then those people all disappeared. Ethereum is strong and it's gonna be the most precious coin of the world. Old ATH will be reached, trust me. |

So I made a prediction on Litecoin a few days ago that sparked a lot of conversation on the thread. It was very interesting reading the different thought processes and predictions. So I decided to do the same for Ethereum, however, I think that Ethereum has a chance to go beyond the 2-5k threshold in 2018, if only they would market a bit better. I believe that they need to get these new "coinbase noobies" to understand what Ethereum is and why it's significant if they want to stand a chance of getting above that threshold in 2018. It's just my opinion though. In case it goes beyond that, well it will be better for every ETH holders. Man, the current situation prompts me something different. I doubt that Ethereum can reach two thousand. But there is a high probability that it can hit 800 dollars. |

it's very heavy if you have a benchmark price of $ 10k or more for ethereum. I am only optimistic if the ethereum price will only reach $ 1k or more because now the ethereum price cannot be maximized.

I believe in ETH, it will have a price increase in 2018 and beyond. Smart contracts will take a large share of the crypto-currency market, we will wait for new updates from developers.

It cant be this year unfortunately but I expect this prices after 1-2 years, they are working hard and improving ethereum. I guess they will be successful and price will rise very much again.

No way,$5000 is really a big number for ETH. it is a slow growth coin. it need more time to development. Maybe 3 or 5 years to get that target.
So if you want to hold eth make sure that you are ready to hold it for long term.

This prediction is from 2017. It is now August 2018 and the ETH price is just 297$. It has returned to the same price as August 2017. So assert that ETH will not be able to reach the 5000$- 10000$ price in the near future. It will take another 3-5 years if Crypto is still alive

Agreed ETH will continue to fall. And there will be no chance for ETH to reach 5,000$ to 10,000$. Even in 2019, 2020 is not possible. In 2018 I just thought ETH would be about 500$ |

I think we cant see this prices in this year but for 2019 ethereum can see 5-6k dollar it is normal prices for it because I'm expecting 40-50k dollar from bitcoin also, if market return back normal at the end of the year.

Ethereum is a slow mover so saying that it is going to take few years before touching10k dollars won’t be wrong but if someone has doubt regarding its survival strength and I am sure many would be thinking of it as a bubble, then I am afraid they are living in a delusion. Even if it is not as strong as bitcoin but still the most trustworthy altcoin. |

This year I'm pretty sure there won't be any aggressive growth but next year I think we'll see it even beyond 10,000 !

haha Funny, many people think like you, the ETH will probably collapse, if they can not exceed $ 500. But in my opinion, I think ETH will peak at the end of the year at over $ 1000 |

Very high and the market cap of ETH must grow in volume just like bitcoin in the past. 2018 looks like we have to wait for more money to come from financial institutions so each coin they invest will grow. 2019 would be a great year but $5,000 is still a mystery. |

As I and you know by the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018 Ethereum can reach the target significantly, and for the end of this year I hope it can happen like last year, although it is difficult to see the current conditions, but I am sure everything can happen in the crypto world.
